Need help. What would you do?
« on: March 12, 2008, 06:48:39 AM »
If you bought a ball for charity & according to the picture there appeared nothing wrong with it.  But when you got it & opened it up it had a cracked bridge.  The pin is 5/8ths of an inch just above the crack.  Also, the site said a thumb slug would come w/it to replace a switch grip sleeve but it wasn't in the box either.  I won't mention it came single box w/1 corner ripped & not even taped.  The site has other balls that specifically mention defects that the balls have, but this ball did not.  I certainly wouldn't have paid the amount that I paid knowing this.

Do I send it back & have him replace it w/a ball similar in price?  Do I just chalk it up to charity & try to just replug & drill for me? Can it even be fixed w/drilling out the crack being close to the pin?  Or What do you guys recommend?

The part that gets me is that the other balls in the post/ on the site specifically listed defects such as the one you got. Seems to me that maybe it got damaged during shipping? I would definitely contact the seller and see if you can work something out.

If it were just the thumb slug missing...I'd probably say oh well, no big deal. But if you're going to contact the seller anyway, might as well throw that in there too.

Charity or not, you as a buyer have a right to know the product you're buying, as well as the condition it's in. That's my opinion anyway.

Send him a PM. I will bet that he tries to make everything right.
