I think they are the same, bowlmart and bowlingball.com.

Anyway recently won a ball from their site that I can't believe.

35.05!!  And I got the right pin out and top weight and everything!

And it arrived in like one day to a middle of the East US location.

LL, They are the same. Glad to hear you got pin and tw. I sure have not had much luck from bowlingball.com. One time I even got a  NIB Ebonite ball in a Columbia box.

I think they ship from middle eastern US because mine arrived one day after payment at a location in middle of eastern seaboard.

I have never gotten a single thing close to spec either, that was shocking!

However, in keeping with always a little something with these guys, they use a new service along with paypal called auctionworks!

Auctionworks applies the paypal fees, taxes, and now for a new little wrinkle TAXES on SHIPPING!!!!! Total after winning with 35.05 = 57.44!
Good deal in the big picture of things.
But that always present irritant!

I have been trying to get the appropriate small refund on this item and I can just tell it is not going to happen.

Almost perfect, but not really, take me home to my proshop!

After one email where the head of bowlingball.com emailed me back and said there should be no tax on shipping charges, I have sent at least five others and no response.

PS.So close, ah so close to perfect but oh so far!  Probably a lot like how a 293 feels!
PPS my girlfriend and I joke about it all the time.  Incredible service at most restaurants we go to and then comes desert and all of a sudden it's potty break time for everyone working in the restaurant.  We can't begin to count the number of times our 7 dollar tip has shrunk to 4 dollars in just a few short moments of we want desert to let's get the kids out of here time!

I have purchased several balls from bowlingball.com off ebay.  All but one transaction went very smoothly.  The other was no big problem.  I haven't had much luck getting the specs that I wanted, but at these prices who can complain?

AH HAH!

Ahhhhh!

Here's the point.  Taxes are being charged on shipping and collected.

Whether it is auctionworks or bowlingball.com.  Hundreds and hundreds of transactions with an extra one or 2 dollars being charged on shipping.

Illegal.

Did I get a great deal?  Yes.  Did I end up with the fine feeling that everthing was fine.

Sadly, again no.

A response to my emails to the seller and easy correction would be nice, but alas like the never again seen waitress at desert time, an almost great.
