Title: not good not bad...just beware
Post by: Doug Sterner on October 28, 2009, 02:37:44 AM
signed into a deal with tizzle for my NIB Mutant Cell...it was a used ball + cash for my ball.

Well he decided to seal the deal and asked for contact info over the weekend. Since then no contact. I messaged him and asked what was going on...he said he found one locally cheaper and I should go ahead and sell it...

Is the concept of courtesy dead in our world? In the years gone by people who backed out of a deal apologized and said they were sorry but they just could not follow thru.

Now we just don't follow thru or let the other person know anything?

And we wonder why our country is in the condition it is.....

I own a business where I go throuh this all the time!

It's beginning to be a joke!

The kind of business that I run, relies on other people's participation... and when they drop the ball... they don't seem to care to want to let me know!

It sometimes costs me several weeks to sort things out... and it's all simply because I just can't rely on other people's "word" anymore!

50 years ago, a man's handshake was 100% GURANTEED! But nowadays, you just about have to have people thrown in Prison to get them to do their part!

Yep I have to agree, I've had several that "the ball is mine" sending you a money order, a week goes by and nothing, pm them and ask "what's up" some reply, others read the message and don't even give you the courtesy for a response, those go on the ignore list.

Then there are those that pm you to death asking info to compare balls, then buy a ball from someone else because its $2 cheaper.

A half ten is not a great shot.  No, you shouldn't have carried it.

yes the buying-selling aspect of things over the internet is awfully ridiculous sometimes.

When someone buys a ball from me. i go out of my way to get it to them as quick as possible. I send them tracking info as sson as I get to a computer from dropping it off. I do this because I feel I am a good guy, and don''t want to do anyone wrong. I PM them seeing if it has arrived, and even maybe a couple weeks later, so how the ball is rolling for them. Once again, just seeing if everything is legit.

Sometimes i buy from peoepl on here, and they just get my money and then they just sit back and relax, cause they don''t care how long it take for me to get the ball. They might wait 3-4 days before shipping it out, then i will be reluctant to get a tracking number. I have eyet to get screwed over yet, but i feel like it is going to happen sooner or later.

Some people need to grow up and take soem responsibily, and be a little more respectful.

The ones on here who have always done this the way it should have been done. You know who you are. You are an asset to a site like this.

Offered to make it right by offering a different deal but it was not to my liking.

Let's all just follow thru on our deals from now on......
