« on: September 14, 2005, 01:00:30 PM »
user clearlypsycho was selling a blade reactive (one of my favorite balls of all time) on ebay NIB shown here

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7180255233&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

well my package arrived tonight and guess what its the right box but the wrong ball...inside the box is a switch blade!

has anyone else had issues with someone on ebay? and if so how did you go about it...i emailed the lady making my anger known, i expect a full refund INCLUDING the shipping costs, is that reasonable?

Yes that is reasonable. The have shown a photo, they COULD have looked to see if they actually had that, or shown an ACTUAL photo of the item for bid. I would ask for the very same thing, no more, no less.

Bar5003,

Yes, I believe you are entitled to a full refund w/shipping OR an exchange for correct/similar item.

I hope you were intelligent & assertive with your e-mail regarding the problem.  (Acting like a jerk often got me nowhere).  If so, and the seller cares about his/her feedback, you should be taken care of promptly.  Considering the seller has had only 1 complaint in 7 years... I think your chances are good that you'll get what you want.

i agree i SHOULD have no problem with this user...i was careful in the wording in my email as to not sound like a jerk but telling her exactly what i want to avoid any negative feedback on her part...i dont mind giving her positive feedback if a full refund is given

I'm sure it was an honest mistake. Once in a while a seller puts up something they don't quite understand.
Once we sold some sort of photographic darkroom equipment. We put up a description of a 40x version - what we actually had was a 20x. We refunded the buyer his full purchase price plus return shipping - he returned the item, good naturedly, and left positive feedback.
Mistakes do happen. It's up to you and the seller to make the experience not too painful.
good luck!
