I agreed to purchase an Ebonite "The One" from this seller. Ball was supposed to be here a week ago.... no ball, and no response to e-mails or PMs. Complaint posted with PayPal. Fingers crossed....

Update Feb 19: still no response from seller. I have filed a complaint with PayPal (not sure if that will help me), but he hasn't responded to them either.

BEWARE!!!

He never responded to PayPal, so they ruled in my favor. Of course, no funds in his account.

If anyone has information on this seller, I'd appreciate if you could PM info to me. Thanks....

That really chaps my butt!! Someone should take Paypal to court over this matter. They rule in the favor of the person getting ripped off but hide all the info of the thief that steals your money!! Its just wrong..

I had the same thing happen to me with that jeffseniorpba guy a few months back. He STOLE $85 from me and then paypal ruled in my favor but surprise, there is no momney in his paypal account and they won't release any informartion on this crook.. To me, they are as much in the worng as the person ripping you off. They have the true identity of the person and won't release it to anyone..

Paypal is nice when you have no problems, but any problems are a PIA..

Seller has contacted me this morning. He stated that due to a storm in the Kentucky area his DSL has been down for two weeks, so he could not access PayPal, this site, or his e-mail to get my address. He plans to ship on Monday. I will keep you all posted on his execution on this promise.

I totally understand your frustration with paypal.  However you need to consider why.  It is against the law for paypal to give out personal information unless court ordered.  They can also be held liable if anything were to happen to the person that the info was giving.

Well, here's an update: the seller e-mailed me on Monday saying the ball was shipped that day. However, no tracking numbers. And yep, no ball yet. I am being patient a bit longer... but soon I unleash the hounds!

This is pretty interesting acutually. I almost bought a ball from this user a while back and had a few people warn me about doing business with him, so I never actually went through with anything.

I PM'd "Chris Collins Jr" back and told him that he's got a bit of an "iffy reputation" with a few people and he seemed shocked to hear it! He was saying things like, "I have great feedback" and "Tell me who said it! It's not fair because I never did anything wrong on here" and blah blah blah.

Well, Mr. "Chris Collins Jr"... this issue that pjr300 is having with you is NOT the way to prove yourself. You are a deadbeat in my book.

Thanks for the heads up prj300 and keep us posted.

I have a few questions about this: First of all, 2 weeks!?!?!?!?! I live in VA and I haven't heard of any storms that bad rolling through Kentucky. These "storms" would have most-likely moved east into my area and we've seen nothing. Also, 2 weeks!?!?!?! LOL! No way that the DSL would be out that long unless it was like freakin' Hurricaine Katrina or something. Ridiculous excuse.

Here's my other question: If he didn't have access to the internet, then how did he manage to drain out his Paypal account so quickly after you paid him?? Seems fishy.

Also, does anyone remember the post that this "Chris Collins Jr" dude posted a few weeks back BEGGING for money to go to some bowling conference? He was offering to sell or even rent out his equipment to go to some drilling school if I remember correctly. Not sure what happened to that post...

I've been buling and selling on the internet since the VERY early days... circa 1995 or so... on sites like this. Stereo equipment, golf gear, aquarium supplies, bowling... I even purchased three 1st generation Mazda RX-7 rotary-powered sports over the internet without even driving them! Also have some ebay as well with great results.

Having said that, the only two bad transactions I've experienced have been from high school age bowlers selling gear this site. Sounds like a trend.

Well, I tracked him down (thank you Google) and spoke to his mom just a few minutes ago. She was very nice... told her the situation, and she took my number. Well, she called me back 15 minutes later; she called him at work and she said she'll make sure that the ball will go out monday. She also said that if I'm not satisfied with the ball that she will refund my purchase.

I sure hope this is resolved soon.

You are right. I've got to learn that everyone doesn't have the same level of follow-up, attention to detail, and just plain-old honesty as I assume they do. There's a lot more scammers out there now as well.

There have been problems with this seller before that I recall. It took a lot of trouble to get the problem resolved, but it finnally occured. I hope everything works out for you and you get your ball. This is the second time he has done something like this, I think its time that we blackball the guy and no longer trade or sell with him.
