This is a question that I was wanting to get an opinon about:
If you worked out a deal to sell a ball to an established br.com user that has tons of feedback in the feedback section and have even done previous deals in the past with this user and had no problems, would you agree to ship the ball to him/her the SAME day they agreed to send the money order payment?
I am of course talking about 2 users that each have flawless feedback on here doing this.. I have done this alot on the past and never had an issue and was curious if other people had done this same type of thing..
thanks in advance..

personally i would send it after you make sure the other person has/is agreeing.

Absolutely.

OK, thats what I was thinking. I am not going to mention any names, but I was in the process of working out a deal with an established user and he does not want to send the ball to me until the money order payment has been received and I was just wondering if me asking him to ship the ball the same day I agreed to send the money order was to much to ask.. I understand if its someone with little or no feedback but I have a solid rep on here and have bought/sold alot of equipment the past 2 + years..
No big deal either way. I respect the other persons policy of no ship before payment is received.. Once again, just wanted some feedback.

jkiser,
Some people never get over that "trust" hurdle. I've shipped people balls even when they told me they had to wait until their next paycheck or until they sold XXXX. If I knew they wanted it and they sounded "right", I sent them the ball. I eventually got paid; sometimes sooner, sometimes later.
Sometimes trust means more than money.

i would
the problems is
if you wait for the $$-w/o sending ball
they have to trust you
remember one person is always trusting the other if they dont both do it at the same time
-
Yes. In fact, I've done it, and never had a problem.

I have done this a number of times, only had one person not pay and he was a regular on here.

There has to be trust , as charlest said, but, each person wants to be 'covered' and know they will get the money or ball. I like to use PayPal, for that reason, the buyer can get help getting his/her money back and the seller knows the $'s are there.
I sent out some stuff to charlest before his money was here, ya have to start trusting someone sometime.
Just finished a trade with bolt298, I shipped today, he said he shipped today, as far as we know, we are both telling the truth, again...ya have to start trusting somewhere.
As a seller, ball for cash, I'd prefer you send money PayPal, we are both covered. Trust is nice, but it doesn't pay the lineage fee!

So what happens when the USPS "loses" the envelope containing the money order or if it just never makes it to the right destination? If the seller uses UPS to ship the ball, then that would be covered since $100 worth of insurance is standard. PayPal is the safer/better way.
