Caution - ebay seller californiahousebowler805

I bid on and won a Storm El Nino from this seller.  The listing said that ball had less than 40 games and the picture was of a reasonably new looking El Nino.

I received a ball that had been resurfaced so many times that the engraved logos were almost completely worn away.  When I logged back onto to ebay to contact the seller, I noticed that he had a new listing for an El Nino and the picture was of the same ball that I bid on and won.

I contacted the seller and he said it was a mix up with the pictures and that he would take down the new listing and send the ball that I was supposed to get right away.

I'm not saying that this wasn't an honest mistake on his part...but there was just something about this transaction that seemed a little fishy to me.

I'd advise exercising a little caution when purchasing balls from this ebay seller.

I would give him a chance to correct the mistake and then if he doesn't then I might put out a warning on him. He has a 100% rating so I would think he would do the right thing. If you do a search for completed listings on El Nino's it looks like he has pulled the newer listing.

I'll likely give him good feedback if I get the ball without any more issues.  I just thought it would be appropriate to issue a "caution" to my compadres in here since many of us buy a bunch of stuff off of ebay.  I know that I sure appreciate the heads up I get from the folks on here about those people who may not be trustworthy.

I hope that I was clear with my original post...I don't think people should shy away from dealing with this guy, just be somewhat cautious.
