So David, aka Stormking300 asked about buying my Storm Ultra Hot. This was on March 4th, he says he cannot pay until March 15th or so. I tell him I will hold the ball for him until then. Roughly 4 days later I receive a notice saying an echeck was sent to for the ball. Ok well those of you that know anything about paypal, echecks take roughly 4-5 days to clear.

So fast forward to 4 days later, Now we are on the March 12th. Roughly Thursday. He sends me a message on here asking where is his ball and why haven't I sent it out yet. YET funds only cleared that same exact day! So the weekend goes by and I am not around town, yet he files a dispute with Paypal for the money. I don't understand this!

Has anyone ever dealt with him or had this problem?? I am really upset that someone didn't even check around to find out my background on here as a reputable trade and seller on here! I have been on here for many years and have never had a problem with anyone, nor anyone with me! Just not very happy about this situation!

I hate e-checks. They take more like 7-10 days to clear. I recently sold 2-balls on ebay and they paid with an e-check and it took forever for it to clear.

I'm not sure why that is an option, except to give the buyer an extra week to find some funds to pay for the item. I no longer take e-checks.

Plus paypal clearly states not to ship an item till payment clears. Otherwise someone(possibly this guy) would get the tracking number and cancel payment after you've shipped the item.

I've sold a few balls on here with no problem but I've had better luck listing them on ebay and posting the link on here. I think buyers from here are more likely to buy that way.

echecks are no issue, just use common sense, it is just like a personal check, wait for it to clear.  Buyer should have known this, UNLESS it is one of the first times using paypal, then they wouldnt know the clearing time.  I have never dealt with this user, but I always tell my buyers who use an Echeck that as soon as the check clears I will ship their item, if they ask when that is, tell em to watch their paypal account, it will tell when the check clears

The bonehead should have communicated better with you and kept his shirt on...not everyone is parked at their computer day and night.  Filing with Paypal on an e-check so soon after it clears just shows you're dealing with an impatient dinkus.

Roll with it, though...it's just part of doing business anywhere.  You'll always have an unhappy customer or two even when you do everything you're supposed to do.

I had a similar issue with an over anxious buyer. I shipped the ball on Friday after I received payment the day before,  and went out of town for the weekend.

I get back Monday to 10 emails from him asking for shipping info, he sent an email pretty much every 4 hours. His ball was out for delivery that Monday as I emailed him the info. He gave me a half @ss rating on EBay for the transaction.
