Over and over people are being caught on this!!!

My wife and her friend came so close to being caught on this one and let me tell you it is good!!!

Just be careful of anything that asks you to send money to an escrow service on ebay that does not say Escrow.com...no matter how legit it looks!

People in this scam are frequently using the logos of Squaretrade and other repsonsible partners and from EBAY.  Frequently they ask you to send money to the British Isles as they are out of town....and however to send a confirmation code to a third party escrow service that is not ESCROW.COM.  THis is supposedly your protection!  NOT!

Here is a description of the scam....AND a letter that almost looks exactly like the one she got!!!


Avoid this scam!!!

SCARY!

Often $500 to $1000 is lost quick.

Only a quick check of the services offered by Square Trade as a last minute thought saved her!  Square Trade DOES not offer Escrow services!
