Title: RULE #1 when buy/selling/trading on Ballreviews---

#1- If you do not have anyone to back you and say that you have completed a good transaction with them in the past OR if your character is in question by someone that has had numerous positive transactions in the past here, then that person (the person new to trading/buying/selling, or without positive feedback) should send their items first. Their items could include (but are not limited to) moneyorder, personal check or bowling equipment traded for.


I am going to follow this rule from now on. If the person that I am going to deal with does not agree to this, then I will no deal with them.

Anyone else want to sign this as a sort of "petition"?

Same goes for me and I think its a very good idea.  Also not saying its a guarantee or anything but a profile really helps.  It has been said before but one of the easiest ways to start researching people here is to look in their profile which so many people still don't have.

I would say all payments should be made through paypal, that way it is proven that the money was sent. Then at least if payment was made and no item was ever recieved at least the person could file with paypal and attempt to get their money back.

On edit, people who have ebay accounts should give their ebay ID so as people can see their history of buying/selling. Example I havent done any transactions on here in a while, so more than likely people who are newer to the site would not know if I am true or not. In that case they can go to my ebay ID and see everything I have bought/sold and all my positive feedback (one negative from 4 years ago but that was resloved). Something along those lines as well could make it easier.

As a business I am adopting the same policy that WalMart has.....

I will not ship anything on my end until I have received the goods/payment from the other end.

I will however not expect anyone to ship merchandise until I have sent payment.

Signs.....and whole heartedly agrees...............
 Only 1 transaction here with shark 300 but am a personal friend of The Author from this site. He runs the pro shop that I use and he can vouch for me paying on time and in cash. Plus I have Paypal with 5 successful transactions on ebay with a 6th pending.

When I saw this, I searched and found 2 references to Britton.  This thread and the one one asking the question.  On the second page of the feedback forum he would have found this, http://www.ballreviews.com/Forum/Replies.asp?TopicID=81261&ForumID=71&CategoryID=5 to answer his question.

In addition, if Britton had updated his profile, he'd have me as a reference as well.  Prime example of just not spending time looking.

I have to thank g_thing yet again for giving me the chance to prove myself...i think it is very important that new sellers/buyers "prove" themselves first, since this first deal i have had many other deals, all of which have been successful...all the deals are now in my profile and my reputation is growing as an honest and reliable seller/buyer and i plan on keeping it that way obviously lol...this is a great online community we have and its a shame a few bad eggs can ruin it for alot of people...i sign

I have sold over a 100 balls but do not ship until paid so in my cast there will never be a bad transaction in fact i will refund money to anyone who does not like a ball i sell them minus return shipping. I have never had anyone complain about the quality of what i sell them and hope to keep it that way.

Therefore i sign this and will make any other changes decided on as a group to be fair business practice.

I agree as well.  

I should note that I did a couple of deals on here when I was cash-short -- I got hung up on getting my last commission check from a former employer during a job change ...I "had to have" the goodies I saw and simply asked the seller to hold the stuff for me for a week, after which time I would send the payment.  Both sellers were good enough to agree.  I sent the money orders as promised (on time), and everybody wound up happy.  I have a good reputation here and on ebay, but I didn't ask for the merchandise first......

I only buy bowling goods from here because I live in France. It's very difficult to ask people here to send you the ball first in this condition . I'm always pay first and need to believe that people in this forum are all gentlemen . Till now, almost of my transactions are quite ok !
