thebigfour..... Very poor transaction. *BEWARE*
« on: December 06, 2005, 12:48:31 PM »
This was a trade. The ball he traded arrived in very poor condition. It sounds like a Freight Train rolling down the lane. When I flip it in my oil towel, I can feel all the uneven bumps all over the ball... I had my local proshop operator take a look at the ball... He even resurfaced it and took the time to sand out individual spots on the ball he saw that were uneven, but it didn't help much. My pro says the ball is unusable and should be thrown out.

thebigfour claimed to have had this ball resurfaced before he sent it. He also claimed he rolled it and it was "fine" when he threw it. He defended himself by saying he described the ball in "decent condition" in the first place and should not be held liable. This is not my idea of "decent" condition.

thebigfour was not willing to properly resolve the situation. He refused to pay for me to ship the ball back to him. He refused to ship my ball back to me. When he recieved my ball he is quoted saying the following in a PM to me: "The ball was in GREAT shape just as you described and i wanted to thank you for a smooth quick transaction." He even posted positive feedback in this forum. There is no reason I should have to pay anything to have this situation resolved since I lived up to my half of the deal without delay. He is at fault.

This situation remains unsatisfactory and unresolved. I am not going to persue this any further. It's simply not worth my time to deal with it. However, I did want to let everyone know about this situation. I strongly reccomend NOT dealing with this user in the future. I'm very dissapointed to say the least. Thanks for reading.

i had 3 great transactions with him on one he sent me and bigearv14 each others balls so we had to send them to each other and he piad for both to be reshipped and was real polite about the whole thing.its hard to believe that he won't fix this.also all balls i got from him were just as described.

Yeah, you know, it's funny. He was great at the beginning of the transaction. He has a good reputation on here as far as I know and has lots of references.

I even went out of my way for him: He was supposed to send me his ball first, and once I recieved it I was to send mine. He was in need of another ball since one of his was damaged and he asked me to send mine once I got his tracking number. I posted a post asking who had dealt with him and if it was okay... Everyone seemed to think he was great, so I went ahead and sent mine early on trust... Boy, do I regret that now...

Makes me wonder if he actually had me do that on purpose since the ball he was sending me was faulty? Only he knows I guess.

why are you blaming him for the flat spots on the ball?? he didn't resurface it, his pro shop did..why wouldn't you want to send him his money he put with the ball to get yours if you want to trade back sooooo bad? it looks like he offered that to you and you refused. could it be that you threw the ball and didn't like it, and all of a sudden realize that you shouldn't have traded?  I have had many transactions on here where i didn't like the ball that was sent to me, but i never posted bad feedback on them.  All we pretty much go buy here are drillings and what kind of shape the ball is in like tracking/marks ect.

i don't get it, people trade balls and don't like the reaction or what not about the ball and get all pissy, thats the whole point they probably traded they ball off in the first place is that they probably didn't like it anyway..
