Stormisforme300 - WARNING!!!
« on: February 15, 2004, 02:15:08 AM »
Warning – I agreed to a trade with this individual a couple of weeks ago. I sent him a NIB 15# Monster Slay/R, and he was supposed to send me a NIB 15# Monster Smash/R in trade. I kept my part of the bargain, and quickly sent him the Slay/R, along with the Fedex tracking #. The ball was delivered to him on February 6th. He has not sent me the 15# Smash/R. All I have received is a promise to ship a couple of times, and no response to my last 2 messages. The message page shows that he is reading my messages, but not responding to my most recent ones. There may be a reasonable explanation for this delay, but I can’t imagine what it is at this point. It doesn’t look good – especially since he is ignoring my messages.   Here is the name and address of the individual:

"Post Edited on 2-17-04 - Name and address TEMPORARILY deleted pending return of the ball"

I can’t find any information on this “business”, but the "TEMPORARILY DELETED" name had a few hits, with the most likely being one from the Northwest PBA region. There is a "TEMPORARILY DELETED" that bowls an occasional event and resides in Oregon. Scott, if you are paying attention – Don’t f**k me over dude. Life is funny, and has a way of evening things out. It’s a real good idea to keep your karma balance on the plus side.

I sent him a "last chance" warning. I don't care if there's a valid reason or not for the delay at this point. I just want what I was promised. If I don't get a valid tracking # for my ball by tomorrow, the gloves come off. I don't like getting screwed by people online. It hasn't happened very often, but when it does the gloves come off and I play "digital HARDBALL". No way to know if he really is "TEMPORARILY DELETED" of "Bowler Performance Plus", but if he is, it was stupid of him to rip people off using his real name, and if it isn't him, the real "TEMPORARILY DELETED" is going to be awfully pissed off when I start trashing his reputation all through NW Region.

Call information and get a phone # for that address... that or call the local authorities for the address and report him.  There's a good chance you'll get your ball back or atleast have the cost covered by him.

Randy,

I too got banged on a ball. I have found out that a shop named Bowlers Performance Center is located in Sunset Lanes a few miles from the location of shipment (number recently disconnected). I am in the process of communication with the proprietor to find out some information. I will also be contacting local officials of Beaverton,Oregon with report of fraud. If anyone is from that neck of the woods please drop me a line. I have a few suprises planned for this individual.

Sounds like someone is getting nervous, And I'm not sure if I'm going to buy that story "someone is trying to get me in trouble" but hey thats your story and your sticking to it. If I were you I would be sending those balls back with so much quickness. Even if your innocent thats a whole lot of  mess your in right now. Well Randyo I hope you get your ball back or justice served, keep us posted either way .

This is my address, but I dont know anyone named  scott or bowler's performance plus. I think someone is trying to get me in trouble. I have received 2 bowling balls still in box last week.  One is a slay/r and one is a scream/r. I will be returning these balls to the address on the boxes. If there are any other balls that come in, they will be returned. Please take my address off this post. thank you.

Interesting.  stormisforme300 HAD a short reply here saying he was sorry and that everything would be returned.  Implied he had been out of town or just "really busy".  I wish I would have copied it, but didn't feel I needed to since he seemed to be coming clean.  Now that reply is gone and a reply by a VERY new member (18696 vs. stormisforme300's 18470) stating that unordered balls showed up at his house and he's willing to pay for return shipping out of the goodness of his heart?  How did you know to come to this site and forum to find the original owners?

I received a message today promising the return of the ball I sent him, and a promise to also return the other balls that people sent him. Also a request to remove his name & address from the post. I have TEMPORARILY done that. IF I receive the ball back on VERY TIMELY basis I will leave it off permanently.

He's probably a kid who thought he could get a few balls without paying for them and everyone spooked him with the talk of contacting authorites.

To the person who tried to scam several good people out of their balls... consider this a cheap lesson learned and remember there's no better feeling than earning and deserving something on your own.  Hopefully for your sake, and your parents(if you're not 18 yet) the people you scammed and the company who's name you used won't press charges.  If you're over 18 and they do contact your local police you better hope those ball don't add up to more than $500.

Anyway glad everyon seems to be getting their stuff back... happy ending to a not so happy story.

Digital Hardball can get real nasty. Fortunately, it doesn't usually get to the nasty stuff. Most people cooperate once they realize that they are not as anonymous and well-hidden as they thought they were. I remember once having to email someone's father about what their offspring was doing. I never got a response from the father, but the offspring made restitution real fast. I know what my Dad would have done to me

Personally, I would still like to see this cat deal with the authorities for his actions. If somebody willfully steals, they should accept the consequences for their actions. Nice gesture to send the balls back but does he really learn a lesson? Dont be nice and let him slide! Let him learn the hard way!

I have moved a step farther and had contacted a lawyer and the people at the residence stated. There is a few issues going on here. I cannot reveal details as yet but as long as the equipment is returned I would be satisfied. I greatly appreciate the help I received froma a few members in that area. For those members please also thank the people who you talked to. All the people who were contacted were genuinely nice and forthcoming with information.
