I had never dealt with this person personally and he had the c-system 4.5 nearly one month before its release date, so naturally I asked him to send first. The ball was supposed to go out saturday... The deal was for me to find one of many balls he was looking for in his particular span. Well he emailed me Saturday saying he lived in a small town and the ball would go out Monday. Sunday afternoon I purchased a mission that I came across with his span. It is now Wednesday and I have heard nothing from him and I have both emailed him multiple times and pm'd him on here. I would be careful dealing with him and under no circumstances would I send him anything first! Anything could happen, but something just seems a bit fishy!

That really sucks!  On top of all that, you're out money for buying a ball to cover for the one you were suppose to get from this person.  Hopefully there is a good ending to this.  It will be hard to trust someone though that appears has slighted you.  Tizzle, I know you're a respected seller on here and provide great deals on good equipment.  Please don't let this person ruin a good thing for those who appreciate what you do for us bowlers.  (Ok, was that too much? , lol)

IamTheMan300 offered me the same ball the evening of 6/18 saying his other buyer never replied, so I sent $$ for it.  Promised me a tracking number and said the ball went out Monday. So far no tracking number, no ball.  If I receive the ball I'll repost, till then I suggest not dealing with id IamTheMan300.

I wont I assure you that, the good thing about that is that nearly everyone else I have dealt with has honored there deal so I guess i'm just experiencing the other side for once... no big deal.

Carey... What did paypal as I hope you have filed a complaint of some sort?

If you file a complaint with paypal and you win it makes no difference at all if the person has already removed the funds you sent them form thier account. I won a complaint with paypal a year or so ago but they said since the person I paid had no money in their account, I could not get my money back.

I've done business on Ebay for years and I've had a few instances where making payments through PayPal and not receiving an item. If someone has a bank account linked to their PayPal account, it can extract funds if it states there is no money in their account if Ebay finds the seller at fault and the buyer can show proof that no item was received or lack of correspondence from the seller. It takes like 14 business days to get the money though after the case has been settled on Ebay

If that's the case, it has changed since I won my case. They (Paypal) told me they would under no circumstance draw funds from a bank account to pay for a judgement. If the person was here to scam someone, I doubt he has a bank account set up on his paypal account. I hope whoever is out the money gets it back. I have been on the bad side of deals like this and it's no fun..

Just a quick question: How do you PROVE that no item was received?  Not saying that I doubt what you said.  But it just seems almost impossible to provide PROOF that I never received a particular item.  What would PayPal accept as proof?

That would require the seller to provide a tracking number... that usually does it right there!

I have dealt with many folks on this site.  Almost everyone wanted me to send the ball first and once they received it would send me the money.  I really did not have a problem with this and so far I have never been screwed.  I guess, sooner or later, it will happen.  I have made it a practice to get the persons telephone number just in case there was a problem.  It may or may not help, but obviously, I do have their address.

Wish there was a better way to do business over the web.  I mean, most balls are going for $50 to $90 shipped which isn't a ton of money.  If I ever get the shaft, I will post their name,address and phone number on this site for all to see.  Maybe someone on this site lives near or even better knows this person and they can help out.  Till we can come up with a better method, it really is a crap shoot.
