There has been a couple sellers lately that have been selling bowling balls without saying there are issues with them. I've PM'ed and emailed them and waiting to hear back. I don't hear anything soon they will be outed on here.

It's getting really old being told the ball is in "mint condition" or "just needs a slight resurface" and arriving no where close to how it was described. Then even with pictures they are taken so you cannot see the problems with the ball. For example CRACKING AROUND THE FINGERS! Or the "slight resurface" but it looks like the ball was thrown in the parking lot!! It's getting really flipping old.
As I said you should know who you are as I have sent emails and PM's to the sellers who falsafied their descriptions. You have until Saturday to corrispond and make it right. Or I will post names and email addresses. I did exactly what I was suppose to do on my end of the sale. I fully expect the same from you too!

Matt, Here is something from me in regards to your problem. I posted a problem on Feb 17 on things to ask about a used ball BEFORE PURCHASING!!!!

To answer MC no I will not name since in his profile there are many successful transactions. I have asked to be removed. The ball that I purchased was described as "4 games bowled on it, dosen''t match what I''m looking for, just got it tuesday". WELL, just got it tuesday was from someone else evidently,had the turbo switch grip that was still in the ball BUT I have to guess had a solid slug put in and then re-drilled about a 1/2 further back and then another 1 1/4 slug inserted and drilled. As far as the surface, speaking as a proprietor, if this ball has only 4 games on it and they were bowled on lanes at my center, I''d CLOSE UP!!
This was from a seller who is VERY ACTIVE here.

i'll step in here as a very active seller of used stuff. At the very least, balls are wrapped in plastic at least once, put in the box, then into a shipping box and taped very well. when i say i have less than a game on a ball, you can ask anyone that has bought from me, that is exactly what it is.

And while a great majority of us do this, there are many that don't.

I think the last ball I might have sold here was in giving a Visionary Broze Centaur to Matt.....and that would have either been double boxed with some bubble wrap, or single box and the ball completely covered in bubble wrap...just depends on what I have here.

Point is, that while most do this, it's the others that don't that end up making people mad about the condition of the balls.

I just bought and returned a used ball on here from one of the new sellers on the board who has high marks from buyers. The ball he sold me was not a ball he owned but one he had worked a deal with someone else to ship the ball to me. I found the ball had mars on it and I thought the ball had more than the one game as described.

Was told by the seller the ball cleaned up with cleaner and looked like new. I though the balls people sell on here would come in the box cleaned and not have to be. Only saved $30 compared to buying NIB, luckily the seller tore up my check and it only cost me the shipping back.

Last used ball I ever buy on here.

I have bought here, and I have sold here. So far, while not all deals were perfect, I have yet to be totally stiffed or screwed. I have bought a ball or two that didn't quite match the description perfectly, but they've been close enough for me.

People, STOP SCREWING ONE ANOTHER! If the ball is crap, SAY SO. If the buyer isn't happy, MAKE IT RIGHT, WHATEVER you have to do! Quit trying to trade a beat to hades piece of junk for a goldmine by lying about what you've got. MAKE GOOD DEALS, THEN STAND BEHIND THEM.

And, GIVE ACCURATE DESCRIPTIONS! If the ball had ANYTHING done to it (including pitch changes) IT IS NOT A SINGLE DRILL, so quit calling it one. Plugging the fingers for even MINOR adjustments constitutes making the ball a SECOND DRILL BALL! THE SAME GOES FOR PLUGGING/SLUGGING THE THUMBHOLE!

And quit calling a ball with 40-50 games on it a LOW GAME BALL! It doesn't matter if it LOOKS low game, what matters is THE TRUTH.

C'MON PEOPLE, IT'S NOT THAT HARD. STOP PLAYING GAMES AND BE HONEST WITH BOTH YOURSELF AND THOSE YOU DEAL WITH.

x2... I have been on both ends of the spectrum... I have had purchased stuff that I felt was in different condition, and I have also been on the other end where I felt the ball was in better condition then the person who purchased it.. The difference is, I have offered to make it right by any means. There will always be disputes between buyers as different opinions is just what makes the world go round... but the after sale support is what makes for a good seller or a rip off artist. If you have been unhappy with a transaction, and the seller told you to f off, then thats terrible, but if the seller has offered you a solution to rectify the situation, that is more then anyone can ask for.. If anyone here has any issues with anything they have bought from me, pm me or call me at 314-686-5321 and I will be more then happy to deal with it if I haven't already...

I just bought a ball from someone, the seller told the ball only had 20-25 games, which the ball is in good shape, except for the fact that he forgot to mention that the fingers had be plugged 3 times and the thumb once. I would not have paid what I did if I had know these things. I have pm'd the seller and no answer. Whats is worse is the plug jobs may have to be redone to get the smooth.

There is no way I would not complain to the seller about that. ALL plugwork should be mentioned in any for sale post.. Thats common sense unless the seller is trying to rip someone off..

Pics don't always help. A couple of deals I am having issues with had pictures but they either took them at angles where you couldn't see the finger area cracking or the area where there was a gouge in the ball...

e there was a gouge in the ball...

then i would request pics of the whole ball or the side which is not exposed!!!may be tedious to deal with....but you will not get stiffed.
