Sorry to post this twice in 2 different forums... but I had to!

I bought a ball from Jeff Ripic (ballceller.com on EBAY) over a month ago on EBAY and he still hasn't EVEN SHIPPED the ball off yet!!!

I e-mailed him a few days after the auction ended (and after the time that I should have gotten it) and asked where the ball was at and that I hadn't got it yet and he replied with, "I'll see what's up." He said he'd find out what the deal was and he'd get back to me. But since then, he won't return my messages! I've been trying to e-mail him and have gotten no response over a month now.

He sent me a UPS tracking number which is: 1Z T97 T09 03 4198 149 9

I called UPS on the phone and gave them the tracking number to see if they could track it down in case it had gotten lost and they said they have received the shipper's (Jeff is the shipper) billing information electronically over a month ago, but that he had not actually dropped the ball off yet.

And if you go to UPS.com, and enter this tracking number, it says the same thing.

They said he hasn't even dropped it off yet in order for them to ship it!!! And that he'd ONLY filed the electronic billing information.

So I know for a fact that he hasn't even shipped my dadburn ball off yet. He's got my money... about 125.00 worth of cash!

What would it hurt, Jeff? You've got my money... all you have to do is SHIP the dang ball off!!!!!

Or just refund my money. It would be of no lost to you since you still have the ball in your posession!

7 year, Ebay has gotten so big, they really don't care about taking care of bad deals anymore. All you can really do is leave the seller negative feeback, but that still does NOT get your money back..

On the Ebay home page, there is a link for live help on the top right.  Click on that any you'll be chatting with an Ebay rep in a matter of minutes.  I've used that feature a couple of times and they have always been very helpful.

This whole deal comes as a surprise to me. I thought when you bought/sold through ebay there was built in protection? I understand sellers pay a fee .. my thought was that was partially for protection. Doesn't seem right that you should buy something there then have to worry about DELIVERY! Bad enough you're buying something without seeing it (other then a picture). I'm interested in seeing how this is settled!

I"ve bought balls from Jeff(ballcellar) and never had a problem.

In addition once the wrong was shipped and he fixed that quick too!

He's from and still resides in my home town!

My understanding is he is in the top 10 altime 300 leaders in the world.

Paypal & ebay anf full of it.
Two years ago I paid $275 for a computer that never came. I filed a complaint and on my own contacted 5 other people who had gotten ripped off by the same guy.
Paypal said they couldn't do anything because it turned out it was a teenager from Canada who was using someone elses account to collect.
I asked for his name & address in Canada so I could press fraud charges. They refused said he had the right to protect his privacy.
Went into there fund reclaim process and got nothing.
Moral is don't deal with anyone who doesn't have at least 10 positive feed backs.

I HATE EBAY.  I am aware that they are the same company, but Paypal has always been stand up with me.  Ebay is another story alltogether.

This comes as a suprise to me, I know jeff, well that is to say i would know him if i saw him. I've never known him to be a scam artist.  Thats not to say his drillings dont suck, but I've got a couple of balls from him with no problem.  I know his proshop is in the "sunset Bowling alley" in kirkwood NY (might be listed as Binghamton) hes usually there later on in the day.. I would try calling there and seeing what the deal is. BTW to whoever mentioned it he does have 60+ 300's to his credit.  I've never heard of this with him, I'd say give him a call there, maybe its an honest mistake, I know hes got a great rating on EBAY and a lot of guys buy from him personally. I no longer do after I bought a ball, got a great reaction from it then took it to a tourney and they scaled it as illeagle finger weight. O well.

I have 2 different phone numbers to call him at that were listed on the actual item's auction page that I won on EBAY... and when I tried to call both of them, each one said that his voice mail box or something was FULL and had no extra storage.

So I can't contact him...

e Bay is running a bit scared, right now with the fee increases to store owners. PayPal will work to get your problem solved, they have to they are the same as a Bank, under US laws. I've sold some on eBay, never had a problem except with non-payers and that was always taken care of by eBay, when I asked them to step in. As far as non-shipment, there's a section in e Bay, now , for that as well. They want to protect both parties. The only real exposure they have is actions and word on mouth. Some will always be good, some will always be bad.

I filed a complaint with PAYPAL on the 10th which was about 4 days ago. They said they'd contact him for an explaination as to why he hasn't sent the ball.

And just a minute ago, I got an e-mail from PAYPAL saying that Jeff Ripic decided to just REFUND me back my money, and he did.

So that proves that he wasn't even going to send me the dadgum ball anyways!!! Or else he could have just shipped the ball out when PAYPAL contacted him a couple of days ago and provided a tracking number to PAYPAL for proof that he shipped the ball out (they gave him the option to do that, instead of a refund, but he just decided to just refund me back the money).

I hate this happened because I've dealt with Jeff several times before. I don't know why he did this... but BEWARE!


In the e-mail, Paypal said to me:
