They ask the price shipped. You've already given them the base price without shipping, so they know the ball park price range.
I just don't understand.
I waited 7 days before offering the ball to another but I couldn't blame him if he no longer wants it. A week is a long time to wait these days. Sigh ...

Jeff,
perhaps you should "eCard" some of the potential buyers ...
Especially those you do not know!
How goes it? ... check your email

My favorite is when someone ask for pictures of a ball I have for sale and never reply back with anything..
Common courtesy would be a no thanks message so you know whats going on as a seller..

happens way to frequently, just common courtesy to respond and say you are not interested.

+1 I hate when you tell somebody a price and they never message you back.

Why do I feel by the posters here, its an age thing? You think us old guys expect too much? I get the same thing, any pics? Then nothing.

I don't know if would ever wait to offer it to somebody else, especially if the person was just asking for a price.
I think I would message both people letting them know that others are interested, user A has first dibs, but they need to let you know within the next day (or longer if you see fit) or you will move to the next in line.
I now try to post pics of any ball that I am selling, and I try to take at least 4 so that all sides can be viewed. It's easier to just take pics and post them than to have to send individual e-mails.
But, I've pretty much seen all the stated behavior. One time I must have sent 12 different pictures because the person kept asking "is that a scratch or flash/lighting a few inches above the pin? Can you send me a better picture?" "Thanks, but I still can't tell, can you zoom in closer?"
Heck, I've even sold a few times where the buyer didn't bother to let me know they received the items.
If ebay and paypal didn't take 10-16% of the final value I'd probably sell there, but it really isn't any better with the questions and responses.

5 seconds out of their life. Is that too much to ask?

This is such a fitting post as I listed a few balls for sale Tuesday. After listing the specs, layouts in regards to both my PAP and pin and mb locations relative to the gripping holes, I still had four picture requests within an hour after posting. Maybe it's just my irritation manifesting, but it's a used bowling ball, they all look about the same. After honoring the picture requests, I had no response from three and one who tried to lowball me to the point I was honestly pissed off. He wanted a single drill Full Swing and a single drill 930T for $100 shipped from Arkansas to California. After the shipping costs I was getting about $30 a ball. The used ball market sucks, but I didn't realize it was this bad.

It isn't. He did lowball you. If they have low games and few scratches, they are premium balls (Internet price approx $135-145 shipped) and should get around $45 - 60 per ball + shipping.
