The Voltage is the first midpriced ball in the Circle line, but in my opinion, it hooks, reacts, and hits like a high end ball. I drilled mine basically over the label with a 4" pin that was directly above the fingers. This ball rolls very well and makes a strong move on the back end. The cover stock shines and sands very well, as I have already used it both ways on PBA patterns. I am looking forward to drilling another one with an off-label drilling. From the reaction of the first one, it should be great.

My favorite ball is now a Voltage. Last week I rolled a 1046 4 game set with an 822 for the last three. The ball is very versatile and carries real well.

I laid this ball out with the pin and cg stacked. The pin and cg were 4 inches from my PAP (Positive Axis Point). No weight hole was needed.

I tried this out on our house shot. The ball made a smooth but strong arcing motion back to the pocket. The house shot tends to be wet/dry, and the ball was smooth through the transition. I was able to back out of the ball and go straighter at the pocket when I started in the dry.

I felt that after testing the Voltage on a variety of shots, that is one of Circle most complete all around balls in the line up. I think you could us this ball on everything but the super oil shots. By changing ball speeds and hand positions, I could get the ball to the pocket without much work.

I haven't thrown the gear myself, but since I have seen several people throwing Circle stuff since they've agreed to sponsor the PBA Senior event at my local house. Anyhow, here goes:

I haven't seen too many guys throwing the Voltage just yet, but the ones that I have seen seem to throw it quite well. When compared to the Hard Core, the Voltage seems to push a bit further down the lane and offer a bit more bite and angle on the backend. I've seen this ball used most successfuly when the Hard Core begins reading a bit too early as the heads wear away or when the HC is not quite providing the necessary recovery angle. Like all of the other circle balls that I've seen, the Voltage offers a very nice punch. The only difference is that I have seen a few more 8s and 9s because of the increased entry angle that this one provides. Nevertheles, this ball could make a very good selection in an arsenal with the HCP and Hard Core.

I had this ball for a little over a week now and when i got it sanded and polished it had a lot of hook. Ever since i got it polished i been throwing high 600's and low 700's and i average 190. Last saturday i almost threw a 300 but the ten pin was being stubborn. Ball hits Great and great pin carry.

Okay, I've thrown about 10-12 games on this ball now. Well, I got this ball as a last attempt to stay with bowling. It's been going on 2 years now with no improvement, and to say the least, I was ready to retire! My first three games on it were okay, I figured I had to get used to the ball. Let me tell you, last night everything got better!! In league I shot a 153-190-163 for my first 506 this year. My average is 131. Talk about some improvement. We drilled this ball to go long and arc to the pocket, and it looks so strong when it hits! I'm slow on everything, but I would say with this ball my speed has picked up and so have my revs. Finally, it seems bowling is fun again! I can't wait til I'm ready for something more aggressive! It'll be another Circle ball, that's for sure!

I was having difficulty with too much over/under on my local house condition. 43' flood in the middle, bone 5-10, and oil outside of 5.

At the suggestion of Gary at Elite I drilled my Alien with a 4x3 layout which pu the pin above and slightly to the right of my ring finger, and the cg on my grip line swung out to the right. I put a 1" hole, 2" deep 2" past my pap on the VAL. Left the surface box finish.

This reaction was exactly what I was looking for.

Had this ball (1 inch Pin) Drilled with my Pin and CG 5mm ( 1/4 inch) in a line directly under my ring finger. This ball was quite aggressive with the 800 Matte Finish with polish, it was quite snappy on the backend which was not what I wanted, so I sanded it with a 2000 grit Abralon pad and then polished it with Degree Ball Polish and the ball rolled smoother and is a lot more predicable.

This ball makes a good step down from the TILT, and fits in my arsenal well. This ball, like the TILT, can play all angles well. It hits hard and doesnt leave much on the deck. It gets through heads and the mid lane well, and doesnt mind a bit of the dry stuff when they start burning up. I was quite surprised this ball hooked as much as it did, seeing it had such a small pin and also the way it was drilled.

This ball would suit all types of bowlers from league to tournament competitors, and strokers to crankers. A very predicable and controllable ball with great carry.
