Cause some more Chaos on the lanes with the Columbia 300 Chaos Black bowling ball! This all black bowling ball with its factory finish polish revs up easily and creates friction with the lane all while offering a responsive motion at the breakpoint on medium to heavy oiled lanes. This reaction is acheived by the pairing of the Exciter Solid coverstock and the Chaos core.

BALL LAYOUT: 4x30

X Hole (if there is one): none

BOWLER STYLE

Rev Rate: 350 rpm

Ball Speed: 19 mph off the hand

PAP/Track: 4 1/2" right, 5/8 up

SURFACE PREP

Grit: Various

Description: This Chaos uses the same symmetrical weight block as the green and black Chaos from earlier this year, providing an RG of 2.48 and a total differential of 0.054. It features a solid version of the Exciter coverstock and is finished with 500/1000 Abralon and then polished with Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish, making it one of the few factory-polished reactive solids on the market.

Reaction: I’ve tested this ball on various patterns and at different surfaces with very good results. Out of the box it is cleaner in the front and a lot stronger downlane, compared to the Chaos I am 5 further right with my feet with a breakpoint 3 further right. On heavier volume I matched the 500/2000 surface of the Chaos and this allowed the ball to read more of the midlane but it had more downlane motion. On a lighter volume where it seemed like it was hitting flat I adjusted the underlying surface to 1000/4000 then polish, this adjustment reduced the rate the ball lost energy in the front and allow the ball to go through the pins more effectively.

Likes:  The Columbia 300 Chaos Black gives me a different shape than any other ball in my arsenal. I've used other balls that were "skid/flip" but never one that has this much coverage. It is factory polished so it is clean through the front part of the lane but is extremely strong off the pattern and really strong through the pins. It's a no brainer on a house shot & I can see using this ball on longer or high volume patterns when you need that little extra kick down lane.

The Chaos Black is a ball I find that has great length and huge angular motion off the pattern, with unbelievable continuation off the deck.

My Chaos Black will see action on house shots, medium to heavier oil patterns, and transition.

This ball truly gives me a different look than other balls in my bag!
