The Saber is an asymmetric ball with a strong cover stock (Reflex Solid). Combined with a fast revving core (New-Dynamix) the Saber gives you mid lane traction with the continuation that C300 balls are known for. This combination creates a strong ball motion and excellent hitting power.

I drilled the Saber 35 x 4 1/2 x 40. With a medium rev rate and medium-high ball speed, I selected this layout so the Saber would pick up early with a moderate change of direction that would not sacrifice any hitting power. This layout was designed with higher oil volumes and longer pattern distances in mind.
 
I am very impressed with how the Saber performed. As expected, it picked up quickly and did not lose energy down lane allowing this UMP ball to hit like a HP ball.
 
It is safe to say the Saber will not get along with lower oil volumes or shorter patterns. However, medium to high volumes and longer patterns will definitely agree with the Saber. I recommend giving the Saber a look.

I am an amateur staffer for Columbia 300. I have had the chance to throw the new Saber on a few various THS. I also was at the Ace Mitchell Trade Show and threw a Demo Saber. I liked it at the demo, loved it when I drilled my own. The motion on the Saber is awesome. Reads well in the mid lane, and very continuous down the lane. It honestly reminds me of the Antics, one of my favorite C300 bowling balls since I have been on C300 Staff. Missing out on this great UMP bowling ball will be a big mistake...

Welcome to the Jungle C300 fans!!!!  It's Got TEETH.  The Saber is a must add to your arsenal.  The Saber has the NEW dynamix core wrapped in the reflex solid cover which was a winner in the Impulse Solid.  My pin down Saber provides me with mid lane traction with smooth, continuous and predictable backend motion!!

I Drilled this ball up approximately 3 weeks ago now. I have probably thrown this ball about 10 to 15 games now and this ball is a definite keeper in my bag. I compare it to the Impluse Solid but the Saber has more bite down lane. I drilled it pin down under my bridge and the mb is just left of my thumb.

I have used it on house shots and at a few regionals. For a ball with surface I am very suprised how much this ball continues and does not quit or burn up through the front of the lanes. If you have not tried a new Columbia ball in awhile, I would definitely try this one. Its great for medium to heavy oil.

 This asymmetrical ball has a clean roll through the fronts and a strong reaction on the back end. I have mine drilled pin above the fingers for THS and is a great ball once the burn up a bit. Compare to A LIT which is stronger but more even rolling and continues, this ball fits in line as it gets through the burnt up fronts cleaner.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how versatile C300 had made the cover.  The RELFLEX cover provides depth and backend when polished and if you want something earlier the box finish is perfect.  The Saber utilizes the new Dynamix core which in this writer’s opinion matches well with the cover giving it a nice engine that maximizes the strength of the cover.  On THS I find this piece to be an exception 2nd half series ball that permits the user to not make large moves when the carry-down hits.

As an UMP ball, the Saber hits the mark.  Mine is a mainstay in my weekly repertoire for leagues and always for tournament time.

I am an Amateur staffer for C300 I finally got my chance to drill up this Saber after nagging injuries for a year.  This ball is a great.  Very rolly ball which is what i love being a typical down and in player with a low rev rate.   Its very smooth but does not burn up all it's energy before it makes it to the pins.   This combined with the Saber Pearl are a great 1-2 punch for any THS.
