Went 60x4.75x75 on my Madness as I used the same layout on my Brunswick Mindset the week prior.
The Madness rolls NOTHING like the Mindset. The layout may be the same, they may both be asymmetric high performance balls but the difference in ball reaction is about as starkly different as could be.
The Madness is the most angular ball in my arsenal and an absolute beast off of the dry boards. There are many people who love this ball reaction and get great enjoyment out of seeing the bowling ball checkmark off of the dry boards. For me, I find this ball to be difficult to control and too much angle into the pins based on my above average speed/rev rate and high tilt release. I have some surface taking this ball down to 2000 and it just didn't roll right, so I have since brought it up to 3000 which seems to smooth out my reaction a bit better, but it is still more angle than I am comfortable putting in my tournament bag.
Compared to other bowling balls in my bag, the Madness is comparable in length to my midrange pearls like the Eruption or GB4, but covers even more boards at the breakpoint - aligning me with my feet somewhere closer to where I would be standing with my Quantum Evo Pearl.
I would recommend the Madness to bowlers with soft speed and lower rev rates - people looking for help creating some length and angle. People of moderate speed/revs on hooky surfaces who would like help clearing the fronts and creating back end so that they can play deeper inside angles will also really like what this ball can do. Bowlers with higher speeds and rev rates will see more skid/flip than they need to score although watching the ball boomerang off the dry boards is a lot of fun. Honestly not a ball that I will be able to use very often, but a very different shape from most of the other balls in my bag that will come into play when I really want to open up my angles.
