- Description: The Oath is a follow up to the Omen, which has been a favorite for bowlers who needed a really strong pearl ball that exhibits great traction in oil. The Oath utilizes the same core as the Omen and a solid version of our Bend-It cover. The solid Bend-It cover is actually cleaner through the front part of the lane and more angular and continuous in the backend. The Oath will be a great everyday ball for most every style. We cannot wait for this ball to get into the field; its reaction shape and utility on a wide range of conditions is truly impressive.

My Oath is drilled 30* x 5 ¾ x 30* and the surface is box finish. The Oath is nice compliment to the Omen! The Oath created a little more friction in the front part of the lane and had more continuation through the backend than my Omen. I tried playing with the cover and hit it 1000 abralon it read a few inches sooner but still had the great continuation down lane. I can’t wait to get another one and try it polished!

My Specs:
Ball Speed: 17.5 MPH
Rev Rate: 300 RPM
Axis Rotation Angle: 45*
Axis Tilt: 10*
PAP: Over 4, Up 3/8
Average: 232

I have my oath drilled pin down below the bridge, and cg kicked slightly off the centerline.  The oath rolls stronger and earlier than the omen for me, but is even more continous off the back.  It picks up a really heavy roll in the midlane for me and just keeps going.  This ball is definately a winner for your heavier oil patterns.

When I first drilled my Oath I was very surprised at the down lane strength of the ball. I have mine drilled pin down on the center line with the cg kicked 1/2" to the right. I am rev dominant as I am still recovering from surgery. I actually placed a hole low to try and increase flare to calm the backend down. It work and this ball is great with oil in the front part of the lane. It is the first ball out of my bag now.

The Oath is a new Upper-Mid performance ball from Columbia 300. Its solid version of the Bend-It coverstock has proven to be far more aggressive than the Pearl version seen in the Omen. I have my Oath drilled 55 x 4 1/4" x 65, placing the pin just under my ring finger with the CG kicked out at around a 25 degree angle. I also placed a weight hole 3 1/2" right and 2" down from my grip center, making this ball flare even more than anticipated off the shelf. Even with this ball being as aggressive as it is, it is still quite versatile. I can hit it with some polish for when I am on medium or low volume patterns and the ball retains enough energy to get down-lane and still hit like a tank. I can also take the ball to 1000 or 2000 and get a great mid-lane read on longer or heavier volume patterns without being worried that the ball will overhook and get me into split trouble. By far one of the most versatile balls I have thrown from Columbia 300 recently, and a must-have for bowlers who have lower rev-rates, higher speeds, or for bowlers who like bowling tournaments on weekends!
