GET A JUKE! This ball is a great symmetrical pearl ball for any house shot. It gives me the ability to play straighter angles on medium to dry oil patterns and still give the carry I'm looking for. I used it in a sport shot league also on a short pattern and gave me the predictability I was looking for. Not to mention is looks great rolling down the lane with the eye catching green and blue color scheme. The bend-it cover stock helps make it the perfect mid-performance ball for anyone looking to expand their arsenal.

JUKE

A new entry to Columbia’s Yellow Line collection, the Juke features the well known Bend-It Pearl coverstock along with a modified SD core that is similar to the Down series of balls from years past. Eye catching purple/yellow/green cover combo that is definitely bright, not not bad looking at all.

I decided to drill it like my well liked Take Down, which was my most versatile ball from the Down line. Put the pin down below my ring finger with the CG stacked below. For me this puts the pin 4 ½ from my PAP with the thumb drilled deep to bring the ball statically legal. Box finish on the Juke is 1000 Abralon base with Powerhouse Factory Finish, which will get the ball down lane super clean but with a hard backend move. The pin down drilling gets it started a bit earlier for me, which is perfect since I didn’t want an extreme “hockey stick” reaction, but something that would clear burnt up heads but still allow me good recovery and finish.

Very versatile as well as I could square up and roll the ball hard and still get tremendous hit, usually using this line on fresh lanes of THS or when bowling on hooking pattern. I typically use it after transition and have a 300 game in league with it by hooking the middles after lanes went away a bit in the track.

If you liked the Down line of balls, here’s a chance to get that look again. Along with the Spoiler, this is a sleeper in the current line and a great bang for the buck.

The Juke is a great symmetrical pearl ball for any type of condition. It permits me to play straighter angles on THS as well as those oil patterns with a little less volume in the middle.  In either instance I have found that I do not lose significant carry.   I have noticed that due to my rev rate I find the Juke a little resistant to deeper inside ball path.  However, if you have the hand this ball will definitely turn the corner.  The bend-it cover stock helps make it the perfect mid-performance ball for anyone looking to expand their arsenal.
