Make this bowling ball your next Impulse buy. The Columbia 300 Impulse Solid bowling ball uses the high performance Hypershock technology in the core of this upper-mid performance ball to create ball that will offer a big, continuous hook. The Impulse core is wrapped with the Reflex Solid coverstock and finished with a 500 then 2000 grit Abralon pad to give this ball plenty of traction. This combination of core and cover creates a ball that hooks more in oil than the original Impulse ball and is ideal on medium to heavy oil.

I bought this ball from the booth out at Nationals in Vegas a few weeks ago.
I am having good success with my sideswipe solid and I wanted something a little different shape and a bit stronger.
This ball is exactly that for me.
I did the exact same layout on both pieces which was pin below my ring finger.
that makes it a fairly strong pin-pap for me 3.75"
I saw a bit more length and a stronger arcing motion downlane, still controllable and continuous.
For me, a successful piece is something predictable and able to blend out the friction at the end of the pattern
This piece does that for me, much like the sideswipe solid

The impulse solid is must have. This upper-mid performance solid symmetrical ball is like no other. It's solid cover tracks thru any amount of oil in a predicable continuous motion without early to mid lane read. I find this ball perfect for all types of patterns. I also find this ball working the best on typical house patterns as it allows room to play different parts of the lane.

Drilled this ball a few weeks ago and think I have thrown it enough to make a review on it.

Drilled 50x4.5x45. I was looking for a mid line solid ball that was smoother yet could get thru the pins well. I chose this over a Gamebreaker 2 as I have one of these pin down. I wanted to try something different.

I am a little surprised as to how much this ball actually corners down lane. Is a bit more angular that what I was looking for but it rolls great and will get thrown a lot. I will end up drilling another Gamebreaker 2 so it is smoother downlane.

Compared to the original Impulse, this is about an arrow more. Not as angular but more angular than a Heat Xtreme. I will use this ball when there is decent amount of volume in the fronts and the backs are a little tight. I can also use this when there is a huge puddle in the middle and I want to move into it.

For me not a great fresh shot ball but after a couple games and the track starts to hook more and the puddle is still there it will be great.
