Drilled this one 4 X 4 X 1 1/2, extra hole needed
this ball hooks, alot more than I was expecting, that's for sure.

Have tried this on a typical house shot of 42 feet and I had to make two moves in the first game alone, than tried it on the Viper Pattern and the Chameleon, both patterns I really had to keep the speed up.

I am going to Las Vegas on Thursday and I will try it on the Viper Pattern there and will post another review when I get back.

The new Outburst is another amazing piece of equipment from Columbia 300.  My Outburst is drilled 4-3/4"x4" with an extra hole.  This ball has the great midlane roll with continuation through the pins that we've become accustomed to from the Resurgence Symmetric core.  I've had the opportunity to use this ball on the typical house shot as well as in my league that uses the USBC pattern and the results have been exceptional on each.

This past week was the first week I had the Outburst for league and I was able to use it all 3 games, finishing high in the league on the challenging USBC pattern.  The Outburst read the pattern very effortlessly making the transitions throughout the set easy to see and keep up with throughout the evening.  I was also able to use the Outburst (in combination with a Full Swing) to help me to a top 3 All Events finish in the TNBA Regional event this past weekend on Kegel's Main Street pattern, which would resemble your typical house shot.

I definitely recommend the Outburst to anyone looking for a great ball to add to your arsenal for your medium to heavier volumes of oil.  The strength and continuous roll this ball generates will make it a great match up for all styles, and for the price you can't beat it!

I drilled my first outburst 50x5/12x50 and I must say this ball rolls great. I can start on the fresh with it and when the pattern starts to break down i can move left with this piece and circle it around the lane. This ball has alot going for it and if u dont get this one your the one missing out. Thank you Bugsy another great product from Columbia 300

I have my Outburst drilled for Controlled Arc with a 2" pin, factory finish.
Used it on the Scorpion pattern and had a nice smooth, predictable roll down the lane and absolute powerhouse roll Through the Pocket. This ball is more than just an upgraded Burst, it's a Monster.

You can go away from pocket with this ball and know with confidence it's coming back strong and sweeping to the pocket,or play up the boards without it over reacting down lane, very versatile ball, You can get yours today

Just drilled one of these to prepare for a Thanksgiving Eve 6 Game Marathon that was supposed to be on an extremely tight condition. Pin under the ring finger and the cg is kicked out 45 degrees with an extra hole. First game out of the box I went 192, second 218...The ball was definitely strong, but I wasn't 100% comfortable with it due to the fact that it was the first time I was throwing it. I made an adjustment and finished with 1122 for the last 4 (286, 268, 268, 300). The Outburst is A LOT of ball for a little bit of money. It is extremely strong and predictable (everything I was looking for). Needless to say I ran away with the tournament and found a new favorite ball.

They were right on this ball, the Outburst is the clone of the resurgence except
the ball is much stronger overall. This is a ball that works good on oil-dry
shots when shiny and heavier volumes of oil when dull. I drilled mine with the
pin 6"from my PAP above the middle finger and the CG 3"right of the COG. I
polished it with Magic Shine and it rolls strong at the breakpoint and continues
thru the pins with authority. This core-cover combo needs heavier
volumes of oil to work at its best and you can't beat the price.

This ball is what Columbia 300 said that it would be .... As its a clone to the Resurgance it is a heavy rolling ball and there is more movement in the back end than the Resurgance had because of the cover. I find this ball to be great on the fresh or where more oil can be found...i.e the middle or deeper parts of the lane.

I've watched someone who can really bowl, throw this ball for almost two whole weeks and came to the decision that I really gotta have this ball in my arsenal.  Now that I have this ball in my arsenal, I have nothing but great things to say about this ball.  This ball is so smooth going through the heads, the mid lane read is remarkable and IMHO where this ball shines is on the backend.  On monday this week I had one lane oiled for me, it was the chameleon oil pattern It was actually my first time bowling on this pattern in my life.  I started standing on thirty and ended on thirty-two, the Outburst crossed the arrows starting at thirteen and ended on eighteen, and my break point remained around boards four through seven.  I finished with a 705 series.  I cannot express how well this ball recovers when missing my target. The ball has a very strong continuation through the pins, the carry and the hitting power is just amazing.

To sum it up: I love this ball and it is totally by far stronger than my storm invasion in all aspects on the lane, period.  Well put together product Columbia !!!

Ok
Drilled up another OUTBURST, this one is highly shined, 4 X 4 X 3 1/2, no extra hole needed.
At first I wasnt sure what to expect, so I got nice and loose throwing the OUTBURST ( kept OOB) once I was ready, I decided that I would try and throw the same line ( which was 15 at the arrows out to 5, and OOB OUTBURST was just wonderful)
After 3 shots I realized I needed to get right (able to play much straighter), what I found is that this ball is totally different ( but all balls are) shined.
This ball is terrific at both surfaces
OOB gives you the ability to open the lanes, shined it gives you length and pop on the backend

Terrific ball Columbia300
Keep producing great balls

I was in need of a ball that could compliment my Burst. I bowl league and some tournaments and needed a bowl that could handle more oil. After much deliberation I picked up an Outburst. I had it drilled by Bill Ludwig at Champions II Pro Shop in Columbus(he is 1 of the best in the area).  He drilled it 5 X 5 1/2 with a 2 1/2 inch pin buffer. I have been struggling at this 1 house all season and am currently carrying a 185 average. My first 3 games with it..... 268, 215, 210 for a 693 series. This ball is a straight out BEAST!!! It rolled great through the mids and always made it back to the pocket. The carry on this ball was awesome, and the pocket shots were no doubters. I thought at some point I would have to go to my Burst, but never needed too. I love this ball!

Hey there all you Columbia 300 fans .... This is Chris Fisher, a 4 year Columbia 300  Amateur/Regional staff member.
I was so excited when Columbia announced the release of the new BURST because the RESURGENCE was my favorite ball ever.... and now just when you thought it couldn't get any better. POW ! Here comes the OUTBURST. All I am going to say is RESURGENCE FANS WELOME BACK THE NEW RESERGENCE.
The dull cover gives this ball the bite and ball reaction of the RESURGENCE... much better if you just dulled up the Burst..... The color I'm not to thrilled with but looks aren't everything ......GET IT , ITS GREAT.

LANE CONDITION

Length:40, 37, 40

Volume:Low, Medium, Medium

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):THS, Viper, US Open

COMMENTS

Likes: Drilled the Outburst 5"x4" from PAP with pin under ring finger and low weight hole (I forget distance). The Outburst hooks at least 2-3 feet sooner than the Burst and is much more of an arc motion to the pocket. The ball is very readable and an excellent choice for a medium to heavy volume espescially on a wet/dry condition to avoid over/under reaction. The Outburst is too much ball on the house shot in my local center, however on house shots with heavier volume it's an excellent first choice pre transition. I practiced on both the Viper and US open patterns and found the ball to be excellent on the fresh for both. With my particular layout the ball loses energy real quick when you start to migrate left. In this scenario a good second choice would be the Burst with a longer pin placement above the fingers. Overall the ball is the classic fresh pattern ball choice and/or heavy volume Shark like pattern choice. If you liked the Resurgence, you will love the Outburst.

Likes:ball layout is 40 x 4 x 35 balance hole at p3 pin over shifted right --- this is one of the BEST balls i have ever owned. it gets through the heads by rolling  very smooth and then makes a strong move down lane towards the pin deck but doesn't stop it continues all the way through. it literally destroys the pins. i am more speed dominate so i consider myself  in between a tweener and a stroker. the ball can handle heavy oil with speed adjustments. all i can say is if you want a ball that moves down lane, this is the ball for you. i rate it right up there with the world beater, its that good especially for the price. you wont be disappointed in this ball. get it.
