With its elegant pearlized Super-FlexTM cover (now in a Blue/Silver/Purple Pearl), it performs with a superb hook and stunning midlane arc for control. And there's lot's of spunk left over on the backend for a better entry angle to the pocket. This beauty runs deep.

Track Flare: 4-5 inches

Color: Blue/Silver/Purple Multi-color

OH WOW.  I LOVE THIS BALL.  I saw some guy at my bowling alley throw 4 strikes in a row with it and i was convinced that i needed this ball.  So i bugged that guy at my pro shop for one and he said he could get one cheap!  I ended up only paying $199 for everything!  (ball and drilling...slugs cost extra!) and this time i have 3 holes!  Hah, finally i got one with just 3 holes...stupid 4th hole!  so i just had him drill it w/o slugs...but omg...i threw one ball and it knocked all 10 pins down the first time...i was amazed...this ball is the world's greatest, i don't think anybody can beat this ball at all!  I haven't bowled with it since that first shot that it knocked all 10 down, but i'm sure i'll knock em down all the time everytime!  This ball is the best!

i-knocked-down-all-ten:sorry to tell you but you paid to much for a great ball.my pro shop only charges $135 drilling included, most internet co. want only $90 so in other words you got taken for a long ride on a short track.maybe you should do a little more research before you buy your next 3 hole ball.

I decided to try this ball since I got it NIB for only $67 + $28 to get it drilled (college discount).  It's a nice ball, but I'm not sure it's good for someone with a lot of hand in the ball.  It's a little too skid/flippy for me and hits a little too hard, ie - pins don't stay down like some of my other balls.

It does seem like a good ball and I kinda like it, but I don't like having to change my hand position just to be able to play the 4th arrow on medium oil.  Just warning you, it might not be a good ball for someone with a lot of hand in the ball or a high track.

I have a high track and high revs with about 17mph.

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS BALL, IT IS BY FAR ONE OF MY FAVORITES. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PRICE OR SO CALLED "MID-PERFORMANCE" THIS BALL CARRIES. IT IS A VERY CHEAP BALL BY TODAYS STANDARDS BUT THE PAYOFF IS BIG ON THE SCORE SHEET. YOU SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM GETTING THIS BALL THOUGH THE HEADS WITH A GOOD BACK END POP. IT DOES TEND TO THROW PINS UP WHEN YOU HIT A LITTLE HIGH OR HARD AND I DID LEAVE THE SOLID 7PIN (I'M RIGHT HANDED) FOR A 299 WITH THIS BALL BECAUSE OF THIS. I HAVE SHOT PLENTY OF BIG GAMES WITH IT AND HAVE HAD THE BACK 11 TWICE USING IT. I THINK THIS BALL COULD BE USED BY A WIDE RANG OF PLAYERS FROM THE CRANKER TO THE STROKER OR THE TWEENER. I Don't THINK ANYONE WILL BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE WAY THIS BALL PERFORMS. FOR THE MONEY THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BALLS ON THE MARKET TODAY. GO OUT AND GET ONE TODAY.

This was my first Columbia ball and I got it because I had heard several good things about the Messenger line and it was new at the time; plus I had a discount.  The pin is below my ring finger and the CG in the middle of my span.  Not drilled to be the hardest rolling ball, I was impressed because it hooks like my Wicked, but does not hit as hard.  Sure it has the titanium core and stuff, but it hits like a friggen cotton ball if you swing it out and let it come back.  If you shoot straight up, then this is a good ball, but someone with a lot of hand might want to get a harder hitting ball.  All in all, I still use it and it makes the perfect combination with my Wicked for the centers we have around here.

I bought this ball as a Christmas present to myself and wasn't sorry. Normally I bowl in a league once a week and thats the only time I play on lanes that are very oily but last sunday they greased up the lane for a league that was playing after our sunday morning practice and I bowled a 238 which was my all time high. Right now my average in the league is only 120! but I am improving slowly.

This ball was reasonably priced I thought at 87.50, and paid 35 to have it drilled and inserts installed. It rolls like a big handsome man and is simply a dream I love it!

The pin is set just over the ring finger and the cG is somewhere not sure where but still what a great a beautiful ball going down the lane. I see so many people using the Ti Messenger brown/gold but this one seems to hook slightly more. get one you may enjoy good bowling and happy new year.

Hi, I'm new to this board and my technical knowledge of bowling is pretty minimal, although I average about 190, but I had to say I've had my Messenger Ti Pearl b/s/p for about 6 or 7 months now and I really love it in almost all lane conditions. I'm basically a stroker who throws the ball at above average speed and I have this ball drilled to go long and then snap. It hits hard and is very forgiving. I can also flatten out my wrist and use this ball most of the time for a spare ball as well, which I really like. My only problem is that, sometimes by the third game of league bowling, the lanes dry out so much that it just hooks too much and I can't both control it and keep a good line by adjusting either my speed, my feet or my wrist position. Is there another Columbia ball available that I could have drilled the same way that would allow me to throw the same line under dry conditions that I now throw in other conditions with my Messenger b/s/p?

Messenger b/s/p  15lbs, 2.5oz topweight, 3"pin

I have had this ball for about 16 months and have got about 200 games out of it, before it finally died. I have tried several different things to bring it back to life, but it is a goner. However, I loved this ball so much when it was alive, that I went and bought another one today, just in time for spring league. It would be great to own a reactive ball that would last for years, but at $130.00 drilled and fingertipped, I will use it up at that bargain price.
I am a medium rev bowler with medium speed. I like to play it straight up the 10 board and it usually comes back. It glides thru the fronts and boy does it come back hard on the backend. This ball is meant for medium oil, not heavy oil. So stay away from the middle and you will be fine playing the outside where the oil is lighter. A good league ball for average conditions.
This ball has boosted my average by almost 25 pins and would highly recommend it for those middle of the road average bowlers, wanting to boost your average without breaking your wallet.

Man, I don't know what has gotten into me, but I have a new Lane 1 BCB, and I take this ball out of the bag first.  This ball is 2 years old, my BCB is 2 months, but this ball still is a monster.  When I first got this ball, I didn't really know a whole lot about bowling, but now that I average 200 or so, this ball has come to life again.  I love this ball, and obviously, it never dies out as people have said.  Mine hasn't yet, and I'm not saying it won't, but I got about 180 games on it and this ball's backend is incredible.

I just had to create an account and rave about this ball after using it last night for the first time.

I bought this ball at a garage sale about a week ago.  The guy that owned it was an older gentleman and had not bowled in a couple of years.  I think that I paid $15 for it.  I took it in not thinking too much, and had the thumb plugged and re-drilled.  And it was the best investment I have made in a while.

This ball is phenomenal.  I am a 165-170 bowler, depending on the house, and with this ball I pulled off a 600 series easily last night.  It hits the pocket like a freight train.  I was a hammer fan, but after using this ball, my next purchase will be a Columbia.
