Description:  The Columbia Swerve FX takes the technology created for the original Swerve to the next level.  This pearl version of the ball produces a strong backend motion at the backend which creates awesome pin action.  Due to the low mass bias this ball can be drilled many different ways and still perform well.  The core shape allows a powerful mid-lane reaction that is not common for symmetrical shape cores, but it does offer the consistency of a symmetric ball.  Just like the original the Swerve FX has HyperSHOCK Technology added to the outer core to offer boosted energy that causes the ball to move through the pins like you wouldn't believe.  Get your Swerve FX on!

Description: The Swerve FX is the second ball to use Hyper Shock technology. Columbia added a material to the inner core to enhance and help propel the ball through the pins.  The viscoelasticity of this material helps minimize the effect the pins have on the ball as it moves through the deck.  The technology in this ball gets you to the pocket and then drives through the pins like never before.

Reaction: With being speed dominant I sometimes have trouble getting upper end assymetrics to make a move in the back part of the lane, that problem has been solved with this new Swerve. The Swerve was more of a midlane read with a smooth motion and the FX is so much cleaner through the front and comes off the spot hard even with my lower revs and higher speed. I have tested this on last year’s National Team pattern and it allowed me to get the ball to the spot from a deep inside line and had plenty of energy going through the pins. This ball is awesome on medium patterns or late in blocks when you need to move inside and have the ball store energy going to the breakpoint.

Tired of not carrying? Wanting that little extra motion in the back?? Well your in luck, the swerve FX is the ball to put in your bag. With the all new HYPERSHOCK technology this ball is a monster. The all new HYPERSHOCK technology is and enhanced material added for the ball to power through the pins and keep a strong continuous motion.

I used a layout of 70x4.25x30 which allows me start straighter and venture into the middle part of the lane but not lose the reaction down lane, I find this ball very smooth and continuous.
I also use power house products to keep my equipment clean and fresh. Head to your local pro-shop and order yours today.

This ball will need to make it's way in to your bag!  I have thrown it enough now that I can say I will be bringing it with me everywhere :)

It's a lot cleaner for me than the original Swerve was - gets through the fronts with no problem yet has plenty of energy reserved for a nice back end motion.  My original Swerve was a lot earlier and smoother, this one goes just a bit longer with a stronger back end.

I have mine drilled with the pin above the ring finger, nothing fancy :)

Swerve FX – First let me say that I took my time in writing this review because I did not want to be over critical as I was with the original Swerve.  Now, some 4 weeks later I can fully attest to the capability and versatility of this ball.  Next to the original Delirium, the Swerve FX is a ball you’ll definitely want in your arsenal.  Since being punched, I have increased my average in my toughest center by 7 pins and have won 1 Sport tournament and finished very respectively in another.

As I mentioned earlier, I have found the Swerve FX to be capable and versatile.  Capable in that the combination of the HyperSHOCK Technology with the energy enhanced material permits the F/X to truly motivate itself through a rack of pins.  In my opinion there is an actual sound difference when I strike with the F/X versus other balls.

Secondly, I mentioned its versatility.  As the Serve FX does have a symmetrical core, it’s the lower MB (0.007) that makes it possible for various layouts based on your specific need and talents.  I have found that whether I roll it up the back or need to deliver it with tilt, the ball maintains its integrity and delivers the striking you’ve come to expect with Colombia 300 equipment.

It is my belief that the Swerve FX is certainly a ball one would want to have in their bag when lane conditions are an uncertainty.

With as good as the original Swerve is, it's hard to think that something in the same line could be better. The Swerve FX comes through in shattering that thought with flying colors. It has great colors, great shelf appeal, and strikes for days! Even with this ball being part pearl, it gives so much more traction than I expected! I can easily play inside 5th arrow with this ball and never have to worry about whether or not this ball will recover. It makes a noticeably sharper move down lane when compared to the original Swerve, but the same hitting power is still there, allowing bowlers to really open up the lane and not be afraid to throw the ball too far right. It is a ball that comes with me everywhere I go and I will continue to take it with me for quite some time to come! I simply can't say enough good things about this ball and how great it is!

This ball goes left on the back part of the lane. It is very clean on the front part of the lane and goes sideways on the back part of the lane. This ball reminds me of the look I had back in the day with the Blue Pulse and Pearl Boss.

For me, this ball is much cleaner, retains energy well, and has a stronger back end motion compared to the Swerve. If the Swerve is bleeding out on you then a ball change to this one is necessary. It's a nice compliment to have both the Swerve and SwerveFX in your bag. I drilled this one pin up with the mass bias near the thumb with box surface which is exactly the same layout as the Swerve. I've honestly noticed this ball out hooking the original at times. i do see the hyper shock technology in action compared to other equipment. There is a difference.

To be perfectly honest, I think I likely use this ball more than I should.  The motion this ball gives me is something that my eye is constantly looking for.  Clean through the front but picks up in just the right spot, for me.

This is the first ball out of my bag during league as well as, typically, any tournament I bowl on a pattern that is not super heavy/long.

I fall into the habit of trying to make this one work on patterns or at times that I shouldn't, simply because I am such a huge fan of the overall reaction that it provides.

Great ball motion, spectacular colors and the HyperShock technology makes the Swerve FX one of my favorite balls in my current arsenal.

Clean and Smooth are the best words to describe the Swerve F/X.  The motion I get from this ball down lane is like no other ball in my bag.  It gets through the front and middle of the lane perfect and has a strong hooking motion at the back of the lane.  The pearl coverstock allows the ball to store energy for the back of the lane and from my experience it does not overhook.  It is very smooth but continuous and on most nights it is the first ball out of my bag.  I haven't had the best success on larger volume patterns but on house shots this ball is perfect.  The layout I used was 70x5x30 and I like the reaction that it gives me.  The ball is very versatile.  Keep it polished with powerhouse for best results.  For more information please visit www.columbia300.com
