Likes: Very strong hard impact bowling ball!! The Smackdown packs a very nice punch. Very clean through the front part of the lane and yet creates more than enough traction for most bowlers. Very versatile Bring It! hybrid coverstock allows for lane condition flexibility. The all new SD medium RG core retains every bit of energy needed to explode the pins off the pin deck. The Smackdown offers plenty of angle off the break point to help carry those pesky corner pins!

This ball is simply amazing! Very versatile on a number of patterns and lanes. The ball takes polish or surface very well and I have yet to encounter a pattern in which the ball rolls out. I have one drilled 40 x 5 1/2" x 30 and another drilled 70 x 5" X 50. The first is great for higher volume medium length patterns. You can throw away from the pocket and watch the ball hook all day without losing any backend reaction. The second is more suited for heavier patterns. The layout is pin down for me and reads the mids without losing enough energy to sacrifice backend hitting power or carry. if the ball rolls a touch too soon, a quick hit with a 3000 abralon pad does wonders in keeping the ball off of the nose. This is a very versatile product from Columbia 300 and look for it to be a best seller soon!

The Columbia 300 Smack Down is one of my favorite balls! I had 802 with it to end my summer league. I drilled it to compliment my Columbia 300 Vow which has been my benchmark ball for the past year. The Smack Down gets me a little more midlane and same great finish that the Vow had allowing me to keep my speed up a little more than I can with my Vow. I drilled the Smack Down the same as my Vow 60x5x40. #LetsBowl

This ball is my new benchmark ball. I have mine drilled pin above the fingers and the CG swung slightly to the right. It is a hook monster!!!!! This thing is so clean through the front and just rolls so smooth of the dry. When it hits the pins, it does what the name suggests, IT LAYS THE SMACKDOWN!!!! I have used this ball on a variety of patterns and it never seizes to amaze me. Moving in when the shot breaks down, this ball still packs a fierce punch. I already ordered another one to try pin down. This is a must own ball for anyone looking for a strong versatile piece.

Likes:      Columbia’s upper mid-level release, the Smack Down has a new hybrid cover and along with the medium Rg core makes it the most versatile ball of the bunch.  I have the SD drilled 70 x 5 x 45 with the pin just above and between the fingers and used mainly on THS.  Although not as strong as the Antics, what makes this ball stand out is the variances that it permits me to have with regards to playing the lane whether on the fresh at the start of bowling or when the transition is taking place.  I have also found the cover favorable to adjustment as need dictates.  Out of the new releases, I would have to say that if you need a “go to” ball, the Smack Down would be on the top rope!
