I picked up a used ball from eBay and used the drilling almost as it came to me, having to move the thumb out around 1/4" and replaced the slug with my custom molded slug. I was excited to post a review, even though the ball is in my locker, and I forgot to memorize the pin placement, etc. I believe it is drilled with pin below ring finger and the CG kicked out an inch to the right... 2-3" pin out.
I have only used the ball for one series, but I am already SOLD on it for slow speed med-rev players. I played today just before they laid down the standard X-mas tree pattern... so I was on a day old pattern... but it did not seem too squirrely. I was standing 20, throwing pretty straight up the 8-board oil line. When I pushed it a bit to the right, it came back with a vengeance (as long as stayed down on the shot). When I pulled it a bit, it held nicely as long as I kept the speed up. I ended up throwing a 621 with NO practice shots (chopped a spare the first frame and had two bad splits in game three) and am REALLY LOOKING FORWARD to testing it on a fresh league shot. I will try to update this report after I have more time with it. For now, I will describe it as a "control ball" with good power... predictable... consistent.
