Alter Ego Retired ???
« on: March 11, 2005, 02:50:32 PM »
I was on the C300 website, looking at the drive and found the AE was in the retired section. I assume there being phased out. Had the Alter ego and just plain worn it out, Loved it!!! Been wanting to get another one and a drive at the same time. I guess the price will drop soon!

For those who had both->
Would the drive and AE be a good 1-2 punch?
Also how much stronger is the BYB on the backend than the Drive?

The AE is probably one of the biggest hooking balls columbia has ever made. the ball wasn't huge in the backends, but it rolled in anything. I got the last AE my distributor had and it was a heavy 15 7oz.

The Drive is really a hard arcing ball for medium lighter stuff. the byb is really a much stronger ball, on the backends, with sharp angular breakpoint.

the Ball was popular here, but as in other regions it might not have been.

the overdrive has heavy midlane roll and continuous backend. on heavy medium house shots it's really nice. good for carrydown or tight backends.
