in the middle?
« on: October 20, 2005, 04:09:13 PM »
I bowl on medium oil lanes which carry down quickly (3rd fame of the second game carry down is quite noticable)
I'm a right handed tweener with average speed
Right now all i have is a Brunswick Absolut inferno and a Track Desert Heat
when the conditons break down im having trouble adjusting to them....the inferno hooks a ton but the Desert Heat just doesn't quite make it back to the hole....or should i say it doesn't carry that well
what do you suggest...
another thing.....would it be a waste to get a Columbia Power Drive how its characteristics compare to the Absolute Inferno

what are your specs (really would be a good idea to enter a profile if you post much).  without your specs its kinda hard to give you an accurate suggestion.  but I'll give it my best

from Columbia since this is the columbia board.  I would suggest the Ti Messenger Low RG.  ball is extremely underated.  I didn't think I'd like it until my friend bought one.  that ball is a KILLER on medium oil. and on house shots in general.  Our hands are almost exactly the same so I've rolled it and get the same reaction out of it.  only problem with buying one is that you may never use your absolute again .

Power drive would probably be a bit too strong for the conditions your talking about IMO.  But another good ball from columbia would probably be a Pearl U-turn.  only problem is that that ball may not like the carrydown.  Never rolled one so I really can't say too much about it.

If you want to try another company, I'm really loving Visonary right now.  I'd try either a Violet Gargoyle, or maybe a B/G Centaur (just drill it strong)  Hope this helps, But it really would be nice to know your specs.

Basically, as far as I'm concerned the Backyard Bully = Absolute Inferno.
