If you want to keep the ball at its original surface prep, try 1000 or 1500 abralon pads. For just cleaning off the black marks or lane oil residue, try Track's Power Wash.

Um both cleaners suggested are great, i would say get both. Power wash will come in handy if you say have little time to clean after league and you can just take a 1000-1500 ab pad with it and clean it off and be on your way. The clean and dull will come in handy say if you forget to clean after a while or if you just bowled on some heavy shot. It will clean down deeper then the power wash. Both are great cleaners, I use both and nothing I use has a track or is under 100 games.

Strike the abralon question and replace it with this one:

Why would I want to sand my ball with Abralon, when I just want to clean the oil, etc. off?

Because in this case you're not really sanding the ball, just opening the pores.  Using an old gray or white pad will work, not a real aggressive pad.  Remember the  cleaner is very viscous and will protect the ball from becoming too scuffed, but the pad provides enough bite to get dirt out.  Carl Hurd (Scoot's boss) from the Track forum recommends this and it's real effective on all different surfaces and types of balls.  I do this myself as well.  You have to hand clean with the pad, you can't use a spinner or you will in fact sand the ball.  PM Carl or check the Track forum for the procedure (CG Proshop-Carl).

A abralon pad that is the grit of the ball as it is when it is oob wont sand the ball it will only clean off the oil with the cleaner. You can find a abralon pad at your local proshop as well as powerwash or clean n dull. They should be able to order them for you. Action max i would say ask for a 1200 ab pad if you can get that if not get 1500 and press a little harder then normal.
