I finally got to throw my max yesterday and was very impressed. It holds its line and hits with authority. I am now thinking about another columbia to go under the max. If drilled the same way, would the action be a slight step below the max?

Action Packed would be a better choice or the hyjinx which is money for the price, i do not know a single person that does not like the hyjinx.

action attack goes longer then the max

The Hyjinx is many steps below the Max, he just wants a something right under it. The Action is a great ball; mine isn't drilled right for me, it's stacked over the ring finger with a weight hole to the right of both the pin and cg. Although it isn't drilled too great, I still have the high series in my whole league with it. The reason it isn't drilled right is because speed kills the hook on the ball and I like to throw the ball harder than what I have to throw this ball to get it to hook. But the ball itself is great and the carry and hitting power is awesome.

I'm not that up on columbia equipment right now, but the hyjinx is supposed to be stronger than the jinx, & the jinx I saw the other day was quite strong. I guess it depends on the layout & who is throwing it. To be safe I would get the action, drill it the same as the max & if need be polish it up.

With the Max being such a strong cover, low rg and high diff. I would go to either the new Wrath SF or a strong drill on a Hyjinx. Pending on how you throw the ball and what kind of surface your bowling on. Good luck!!
