I have been throwing Columbia , and Hammer my entire bowling career . I don't know all the bowling lingo . But my question is . i recently bought a Columbia Rock from a friend of mine . I just can't get used to this ball , i also bought a Storm from him also . I usually start to struggle with these 2 balls when the oil starts to dry up . I always go back to my Ti-Messenger , it is the older messenger . The Pink and purple swirled ball . This ball is my money ball , but it is 3 years old . What Columbia Product is going to give me the same control and movement of this older Messenger ? I just can't give it up , and i really want to upgrade it .

I guess my throwing style may come in handy for u Pro's too . I really like to play the outside shot . I do not get alot of hand in my release . When i throw my Rock , or the Storm , i am throwing out over the 3rd arrow , it goes about the 8 board and comes back . With my Messenger i play the 10 board, to the 5 and back in . I just love the way the Rock hits the pocket . there is no comparrison in the way the other balls hit . If i put my Rock, and my Messenger in the same Bowling Bag , Would they Mate , and give me a hybrid ? If so , that is the ball i would want.

I also still have a Purple Quake in my locker . That ball is also very consistant . I have been hooked on Columbia since the U2 .

Sorry , i stand corrected again . Last Nite i was on too much tylenol Cold medicine . The Storm is the Super power . I bought the Super Power and the Rock from my friend . I paid $ 50 for both balls . proshop was able to slug and not plug . the Rock is a very inconsistant ball for me right now . So i think i got a good enuff price for it , that i can get 50 bucks trade for it at my local Pro Shop . I haven't thrown the Storm enuff to tell if i like it or not . Although the first practice game i threw with it i tossed a 267 . non of the strikes were a true pocket shot . So i know the ball is forgiving . I think my problem with these 2 balls is the thumb insert . These are the first balls i have put inserts in , and it just feels different .
