Formula...just a tad slow.

Man...this ball is suppossed to be a great over under ball.

Well we have the over under shot and except for last week I am finding that the Icon2 is just sweet except for I need to cover a few more boards than I like(big backend ball by the way.)

The Icon2 reads the shot at exactly the right spot.  I can carry at this house playing straight up or swinging 13 at the arrows to 5!  It is the only ball in this house I can play both lines and there are other lefties playing this ball with good success(nice coverstock that muscle).

Where pearl reactives BOUND off our rock hard wet dry the light load particle reads pretty smooth.

NOte the original ICON for me which works at other center and gives me a very controlled inside out loop and carries at other centers around here also is too slow at the pop to carry on this long oil pattern center.

Last night the Formula looked just like in practice last week.  Couldn' miss pocket and it looked like carry would be about 25 percent for the night.

First ball 10 pin.  Not really up in center of pocket...move 1 board left.  Looks flush but a tad late.  Flat 7.  Next ball...beautiful move hits pocket flat 7 finally a strike but pin falls slow.

They say to me use all night you can't miss.  I ask "Do you think if I nine out  I'll shoot 181....or 160?"

Ball reminds me of a straighter thru the heads ICON the original.
Any ideas on how to get this thing in the pocket a little quicker.
Me is thinking of a light scuff of last couple of flare rings.

It seems like ball just needs to go earlier or have a touch more bite.
Drilled pin up 1/2 inch outside of ring a tad.  cg back towards grip center ...some finger weight out thru finger deepening.  Highly polished 2000 grit!

I think I could really tear this center up with this if I could get any drive at back!
Columbia GURUS????

PS I've seen this ball work at center where Icon works just covers a few less boards.
I'm a big fan of the muscle coverstock!

LL, I've found that mine has the same issue right now.  It is making a great move, but kicking that 10 out has been an issue unless the shot is fairly dry with the box finish.  I'm a little afraid that green scotchbrite will add too much surface, but I know the ball needs to be taken down a little bit. Please report how the surface change helps you out as I like the ball now, but it would be great to get it to carry consistently.
