action good for higher rev bowlers?
« on: January 09, 2006, 04:24:33 PM »
Is the action a bad choice for a higher rev bowler?  The reason I ask is because of the very low rg.  One would think this ball would hook at the arrows.

chitown,

I would not think so as any ball can be specific to conditions based on the style of bowler.  NOW....if they were really rev dominate such as rev rates above 450-500 and say a ball speed of less than 15 mph, they may be in trouble.  But as long as rev rates above 450 with ball speed above 16+, with cover prep, layout, and the right lane condition, they should be fine.

Put some polish on it and you will do fine. I would go with a 4x4 layout. Nice length great backend.

Thanks for the reply's.  I seen this ball in action last week.  The guy was throwing it well.  The ball seemed to have a very strong mid lane.  It knid of reminded me of Tracks animal with how strong the mid lane is.

I am a tweener it hooked at my toes in box finish with pin high 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 layout. I have it at 2000 abralon now and it still hooks alot, polished for me it skated 50 feet and never made a good move to the hole. I tried it at 4000 and it was ok that way but still did not read fast enough off the dry, strange ball polished skates for me and dull hooks just right past the arrows.

I do have the new storm passion it is close to the passion but not that early, just so you know that you could make it work for you. I would probably go pin high 5 x 5 or even 5 1/2 x 5 the low rg of this ball just revs and revs off your hand. It revs alot like my vapor zone but the vapor zone's cover saves it for me, so there is energy left at the pin deck.
