I just purchased an 15 lb. Action. Drilled 3 3/8 x 3 3/8. Left it in box condition.
I'm not sure what I was expecting with this ball other than some traction in oil, but what I got was a hook and set ball. Please note, this isn't really a complaint because it hooked, set, and hit very hard. But, not exactly the type of movement I thought I would see out of it.
Just wondering what reactions other Action users have had? Changing the surface change the ball drastically? Any info would be appreciated.

3 3/8ths on a ball this strong is going to stop at the hole. You took one of the most aggressive reactives(probaly the most aggressive) with the earliest R.G. on the market and put the strongest drill imaginable in it. Usually not a good combination unless you're throwing the ball on a frozen lake. It's not continuing because the ball has used all of it's energy. Maybe a 4 1/2 pin to PAP or a 4" pin to PAP high up from the midline would conserve more energy and still hook a ton without stopping,.

The maximum leverage layout may have caused this ball to "flare out" on you and thus causing the "hook, set" reaction.
You will definitely have a different reaction with different layouts and different coverstock prep.
I have 2 Actions, one polished up with a 5x5 layout and one out of box with a 4 1/2 x 3 3/8.
Polished will allow this ball to retain energy and have more backend, dulled up or out of box this ball revs up hard and hooks in heavy oil.

Truely the best wet/dry ball on the market. Nothing has the reaction of the Epx T1. If you are a tournament bowler this is a ball you should have in your bag at every stop. Good luck.
