One of the guys I bowl with from time to time bought one. He wanted something to go longer and have more back end than the other stuff in his bag (A dull worn out Fuze Eliminator, a shinier Fuze Eliminator, and some other worn out reactive ball - maybe a Track. He HATED his new Shock. I looked at the layout (stacked leverage), ball surface (dull), and asked him why he thought THAT ball and THAT surface was going to give him they look he wanted? His reply - that's what the guy in the Pro Shop told me I needed. The ball was hooking at his feet and hitting like a cantaloupe! I told him it could be saved - took it home with me, smoothed it with a 1000 wet/sand, then gave it some of that wonderful Brunswick Hi/Gloss Factory shine. Now he likes the ball. It works pretty good for him and is now giving him the look he wanted. Of course, compared to my Classic Zone it still hits like a cantaloupe, but it did improve - and it's only a Columbia, so I didn't expect it to hit as good as my CZ.
Seriously - it looked pretty good. I wouldn't run down and trade my Brunswick stuff for one, but had I still been a C300 user, I would probably carry one in the bag.

Lucky,
Have one punched up...wanted something to go a little longer than my Unleashed but just as hard on the back end...
This ball is something else!!!
Pin at 1:30....cg about 1/2 right of midline....and center of grip...4 by 4 pretty much for me.....box condition...
Ball clean through the heads......if you get it to the dry....Watch out!!!..Flies off and still retains energy and hits as hard as my Unleashed which is saying something.......if I kept it tight in the oil......went about 2 feet longer than the Unleashed and still made a strong but controlled turn and still hits hard..
For the money you can't go wrong with this...perfect compliment for me to my Unleashed....may polish a tad to get it a little longer...
Hope this helps@
Mike

My personal savior is common sense.
How can being so RIGHT be so very WRONG?

Have now two Shocks and will get one punch this week together with a Panic. Will let you know when I use them this week end in a Tournament.

Borincano,
You already have one punched and love it right?

LuckyLefty,
I did mention that I had a Shock but did not get to punch it. This week I will get it done. The other Shock I will punch it differently once I see how the first one reacts.
Now the Panic is coming along and I will be ready for the Fall & Winter leagues with a Shock and Panic attack. Hoping to up my average over 200 from the 159 to 191 I came up in 1 year of bowling.
Thanks for all helpful advice in your writings as for the rest of the good guys here.

LuckyLefty,
Finally got one Shock drilled 4x3 (pin below and 1/2 inch to the right of the ring finger) and love it. I can throw it over 17 turns at 10 and goes into the pocket with a lot of carrying power. The driller of the Pro shop saw the shots and use the term hit's like a freight train.
I find that the Shock is a very good ball to have in my bag. It will be together with the Full Throttle, Alter Ego, Panic and my spare Rubber bowling ball.
Will provide the results that I will have during my first league night this week. I hope to have a Shocking night.
Saturday 28 I was practicing at the bowling center and already had about 17 games thrown. In the center they were having a tournament and they needed somebody for the second squad in a trio team and they ask me if a could play. I said yes. Paid my fee and got into some handicap brackets. Once it finished I had a 210, 213 and 213 games. Missed winning the team event but got my money from the brackets. Which paid for the games I first threw, the entry fee and the Shock got paid. Shocking moments!!
