Any talk of the Power Drive?
« on: August 27, 2005, 06:11:58 AM »
Just curious what people think of this new Columbia offering? I know that all the talk is about the latest hook monster, but I was bowling a NEBA tournament a couple of weekends ago and had a slow speed lefty kill me in 2 games with this new offering- including a 300 in the first game of match play.

Those that are either on staff or those in this forum who have this ball- what do you think of this offering? Where does it stack up in line with the other balls in the Drive series?

Matt

I went to a trade show and saw Tim Criss throwing it a bit.

I was down to the side and though he was throwing it I thought well...the shot was carrydown at the time and I don't think that is Vaccines bucket!  Something Tim was getting quite a few of at that time!

I believe earlier when we walked in a shot was fresher he was throwing strike after strike!

Ball is really hot looking.

I've had mine for about two weeks now, I must say I'm very impressed with the ball. All the bully balls roll awesome for me so this ball was a must. The PD compliment my professional perfect. I have my pro dulled with a grey pad and has been my "go to" ball for the last two months. Shot 278 a few weeks ago with it. The PD is much cleaner through the front of the lane, very good midlane read and just dives for the pocket. I've had more that a few people come over to me and ask what kind of ball I was using. Several were amazed with the hit, I heard "I'm going to get one of those" more than once!!!  The ball really drives better than all the other bullys. I'm thinking of getting another one and dulling it up. VERY good ball!!!!!!!!

I've drilled 3 of these, and they corner as hard as anything on the market that i've seen on medium to light heavy oil.  Excellent ball.

I have had this ball for a couple of weeeks now, and this ball reminds me most of the original inferno.  It is so strong on the backend.  However you can change the reaction easily with speed and hand position changes

This is one of my favourite balls in the current columbia range
