Anyone polish an Action Max?
« on: August 23, 2006, 06:19:56 AM »
Hello all, I just punched up an Action Max yesterday and boy do I love it!  My only problem with it is that it burns up its line wayy too early.  Has anyone ever tried polishing an Action Max?  What kind of reaction did it give you?  Let me know.

As with polishing any high end ball made for heavy oil, expect less midlane and more backend.

The A-Max is billed as the Action's midlane combined with the Action Packed backend.

So by polishing it you can expect more of an Action Packed reaction and less Action reaction.

Well since I believe it comes 1200 grit OOB, try taking it down to 2000 and you should get that extra foot of length without needing polish.

Coverstock prep is all trial and error. Don't be afraid to try something, because you can always start over from scratch.

Amen to that!  I have trialed and errored quite a bit now.  It's worth it when you finally get what you want though.
