Action Max or Scorchin Inferno
« on: October 09, 2006, 04:05:43 AM »
I know, a Columbia board.  I haven't had one since my Cuda.  I've heard and seen some good things about the Max.  I'm thinking about the Max or Scorchin.  Can anyone talk about a comparison between them?

I never went wrong with my AI, so I'm wondering if the Max is worth the trip back over to Columbia.

thx.

I have a post below about watching my Coach throw a great first set with one!

TO ME...despite it's reputation as an oiler...the Action Max appears like an almost pearly solid.  Sort of like a Radar Lock.  My coach has a high pin and lots of polish on it and used it very well on a medium light shot the other day.

He's got some pretty strong speed!  Say about 17.

The Scorching I can't really picture being that versatile to be able to handle that little medium to medium light level of oil.

My feeling Action a very strong core and a maybe strong enough surface for very heavy oil with surface.  Out of box it looks like medium heavy oil as it's main condition. The Scorching maybe a little more centered in the oilier to very oily area.
