Action good oil ball?
« on: March 13, 2006, 06:26:17 AM »
I would like to know would this be a great oil ball? IF so would it be better then a big one, robo rule, or scorchin inferno

I would say for medium to medium heavy.
Not a flood.
The more I practice,the luckier I get.

The Action for oil, for a heavy oil setup, no. The other balls you have mentioned will be much better for oil. I think the Action Packed would be better for a little more oil then the Action. My team mate on friday got the Action, the lanes had more oil then what is usually put out, i had him put the action away and pull out his Track Rule Delta 1.

Just curious about your logic on that one.  A highly polished pearlized reactive that can handle more oil than a solid reactive?  Both have basically the same core (only a small change in the densities).  Also, Columbia rates the Action a 37 in oil whereas the Action Packed is rated a 25 in the oil.  Maybe if you were to sand the AP down to 800 grit, but not with the box finish.

I drilled my Action stacked leverage.. and I use it on Heavy oil, and it sets up and read alot earlier than my Ultimate Inferno.

It can be used for Heavy oil.  I have alot of hand, decent speed. Bascically a power tweener, and I use this in any oil.

Arsenal:

EPX-T1 - Flooded oil
Action - Heavy oil
Inferno - Heavy to Medium oil
Action Packed - Medium oil
Smoking Inferno - Medium to dry
Blue Dot - Spare ball

I think the Action hooks more than the Big One and Robo Rule.  Probably not as much as Scorcin Inferno.

Keep the Action with box surface, strong layout, will be plenty of ball for heavy oil.  More continuous than Robo Rule.  Earlier than Big One.  Will hook much more than an Action Packed, Packed is waaaay to long for heavy oil.
