You can't go by Big B website, as it took months before Angelo was there, and quite awhile for Mika too.
Scuttle was that Big B didn't want to fork over BIG bucks, course with Mika, Angelo, and others, there is only so many dollars to be spent.

I think Brunswick is banking on Mika being their #1 horse since he had such a great year last year. Barnes was their flagship boy but I guess they want the wins. I heard Ebonite gave Barnes an offer along with Columbia. I still don't know if anything is official.

this is very true, I heard the money Columbia gave him he would have to make 6-8 shows with the brunswick contract...this means that Columbia really dug deep in thier pockets. I quess a Bully would not look bad in his hands, but he will definitly miss the help of Rick Beniot.

Any ball would look good in a top pros hands.

If he continues to "Choke" as he usually does, it won't matter what ball company he is with.....

Columbia seems to be on a spending spree now, because they just sponsored one of the best canadian bowlers. Danyck Briere, is now throwing columbia, and his is a multiple time member of team canada, FIQ world record holder, and medalist.
he really is the canadian equal of Tim Mack.

They are big wigs in San Antonio, Columbia's homefront.

Jeff Mop and I are almost in total agreement on this.
I perceive better days for both Chris Barnes and Mika as I believe the equipment matches up better for their respective releases.
The only difference I see in the way of describing it is I see Barnes with a somewhat side release today in comparison with say a Mika or Walter Ray but agree that the solution is Columbias greater length in some of their equipment.
I think Barnes is gonna shock people with what he does with Columbia. Mika A slight improvement.

PS I think Brunswick still makes great equipment especially for the left and on league conditions. I believe very specific drillings are necessary on their equipment for the tour!

Columbia is now going to make a ball called the "head" then "head case" for barnes and is tv woes.
-
The way I heard it, Chris was using Brunswick at the Japan Cup, and that this event would be the last for which he would be under contract with Big B.
