Columbia core question
« on: August 19, 2009, 11:45:37 AM »
If you read my post for the Jigsaw, the question is the same.  Does the core SHAPE remain consistent for a 13lb ball in the BEDLAM.  Same customer.

P.S. I really wish that companies would state when core shape changes per weight in their flyers.  All of the Ebonite conglomerate companies give wight available, but only numbers from 14-16 lb.

Hammer's site lists numbers in the 13# and 12# Jigsaw, but it no longer lists the MB diff for those weights.  Sounds like another core ends up being used in that case.

At least Brunswick lists the numbers and shapes for all of their performance equipment.

I do not work in the plant, so I am not positive.

But from what I understand, 12 and 13 lb balls use a performance symmetric corem in all balls out of the Hopkinsville factory.

HOWEVER, I was told by a former employee that they use the same cores in 13 lbs.  He/She seemed like a pretty reliable source.

The last time I talked to the tech guys, they said they were using the Nitro/R core for most 13 pound balls - light bulb core. Columbia used to use the Beast core (light bulb) in 13 pound balls when they were in San Antonio now they use the Nitro/R too.
