Benchmark v Eruption
« on: December 31, 2011, 01:03:42 PM »
Got my first C300 recently...World Beater and love it. Looking at more pieces by Columbia and now after a step down from WB. Have narrowed the choices to Eruption or Benchmark.

Couple questions...with both balls drilled identically

a)  which would be the stronger overall?

b) which would be more angular?

Thanks

It all depends on how the lanes are you're bowling on...

On dry lanes: The Eruption will be stronger in the back and overall. The Benchmark will burn up a ton

On oily lanes: The Benchmark will start rolling through the oil where as the Eruption is gonna skid for days! The Eruption coverstock hates >>>oil<<<

Two very different balls, etc. On a house shot, the Eruption is going to be the Big Skid flip reaction and the benchmark is going to be smooth no matter how you roll it...
