Big Shot
« on: February 06, 2007, 04:17:54 AM »
All you Columbia guys can you please try to help me I was looking into getting a Big Shot.  Don't know my specs for sure, but I guess you could say medium revs, w/medium speed.  Wanted something to replace my Paradigm that got chewed up by ball return thought the Big Shot would do that any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not a Columbia guy and I'll forgive you for being a Cardinals fan (j/k), but with the exception of being symmetrical versus asymmetrical like the Paradigm, the Big Shot should suit your needs well. The cover is much more tunable and the RG and diff numbers are similar.

cardsfan,
the Big Shot is one of Columbias most versatile balls that i have seen. comparing it to a paradigm is apples to oranges, one being asymmetric and the Big Shot being symmetric, the motion will be different. if your looking for more flip down lane, i would recommend drilling it 5-6 pin to pap, and shine, for more even reaction, a 5 x 4 with a hole or even stronger. i beleive you will like this ball even more than your paradigm once you get it matched up to what your looking for. just dont afraid to alter the surface to achieve your desired reaction
enjoy

Big shot is a very very good ball i already like this ball alot, if you want a ball closer to the paradigm i have 2 of the paradigm's drilled differently i would recommend the Angular One for you. Both assymetric and have flippy type of covers with close mb specs, they are a better apples to apples type of comparison. Another very good choice for you would be the Epic Saga more even than the paradigm's but still pretty close in reaction shapes.
