Did the ball just change colors or what?

I'd have to say that is a remarkable difference in color. Most likely a combination of poor lighting/photography over temperature difference.
That does look like it's the same color as a Bully though.

If you're willing to sit through the initial EPX video you'll notice a shot with about 30-40 EPX's in open boxes with varying external colors ranging from blue to gray.

The Epoxy coverstock can only be made in gray and black. So i think its odd that its a blue colored ball..
-
The more BLUE the EPX gets the more durable it gets. If it's too grey it can lead to cracking. The best thing to do if your EPX is too grey is too rapidly change it from an oven heat of 350 degrees to the coldest setting in your freezer. After several times doing this you should cool the ball outside and it will turn blue, thus turning into a more durable coverstock.
-
Maybe its a blem?
-
Brian i am sorry i have to disagree with you on your method because you are shocking the ball(making something extremely hot and then subjecting it to something cold) will cause the ball to crack even faster and mess the internals of the ball up.

I have to agree with the Bully comment... it looks like it's a mislabelled ball rather than a colour blem. I would hate to be the guy who buys a Bully for the price of an EPX.
