Okay guys, this is going to sound a little hair brained, but I received a test ball (Bonanza II) from Beans that appears to be a Black/Red Scout.  When I took it to my pro shop and had him spin it on the DeTerminator to see if it would stabilize it did.  It consistently stabilized in 10 seconds.  He layed the ball out with the pin above the bridge and didn't see the typical pancake style weight block.  I'm not sure what ball this is anymore and would like your help.

If anyone has a 15# Scout in their shop and has access to a DeTerminator I'd be curious to see how fast they stabilize, if they even do at all.  This may also turn out to be a Jekyll as a few people have chimed in.

Thanks...

J Mac,

For some reason, I can't look at the pictures. I am wondering if the ball I got looks like yours. I think Dan might be right, I think mine is a Jekyll.

I hadn't even thought about the Jekyll.  The coloration is very close to being that since the black has a reddish tint to it.

Since when did a Jekyll have asymmetrical properties so strong that it spun up in 10 seconds?  I thought it was a symmetrical core, which, in my experiences, tend to take 20 + seconds to "spin up", if you could call it that.

If the ball has the core from the Alter Ego/Drive line, it's not anything that they currently have on the market.  This ball doesn't seem to handle oil very well at all which leads me to believe its a superflex cover.

I also have an Alter Ego that stabilized about 2.5 seconds faster than this ball.  The Bonanza is drilled 5.5"x5.5" with a predrilled TW of 1.25 oz. so that could have something to do with the slower spin time.

Maybe it's something that they haven't even released yet.  Kinda like what happened with the Bonanza that turned out to be an Overdrive.

A Tornado I had stabalized in 11.2-11.5 seconds and a powergroove around 11.8-12 so I guess you do have a scout since they have similare weightblock characteristics(3 piece assymetricals)
