Title: Bully Ball

New to the sport but wondering if this is a good ball to purchase if I'm a bowler without a hook.

without a hook it will hit and react just like a plastic ball, might dig through the pocket a little more but wont make your game much better, best improvement you can make is start throwing a hook.

What is the best way to delvelope a hook and control it.  Rolling straight ahead, I've haven't been able to even start one.
