I recently purchased a Bully about...eh probably close to a month ago already I can't remember exactly. Of course at the time I had my Bully drilled up, I saw the paperwork for the Big Bully and it appeared to be almost an exact replica with the exception of perhaps a different box finish. Seemed like everything else minus the color scheme was close to being exactly the same, except they say the Big Bully is supposed to have more overall hook and be better for heavier conditions. My bully has worked perfectly fine for me in heavier conditions so far and hooks a ton. Could someone reply and perhaps give me an input on what they've seen for differences between the 2? If I were to guess, it would seem like the Big Bully just rolls earlier and is just a little smoother on the backend, but maybe a few more boards overall hook. Otherwise, the reaction shape I'd say would have to be close to the same thing on both balls.

my 2 cents..... that big bully hooks a ton compare to most solid and some particles..

"some particles?" Are you saying that in general particles still hook more than the latest generation of solids, such as the Big Bully, the Ultimate Inferno, the Rule, and so on? What particles do you fund hook more? And is that hook in the back end or just an earler roll and and arc, and not so much true back end hook?
Sorry for all the questions...thx!

I equate hook to when the ball actually starts up " how early the ball hooks". this Big bully being solid resin it starts up pretty maybe because of the new resin but still has a strong backend reaction.

to my knowledge the big bully isn't soild resin, but either pearl or a combination soild/pearl. i could be wrong, but i thought this was correct

The big bully seems to have some pearl in it mixing, but it seems to only be in the grey. I have had my big bully for about 2 months now and i just drilled the original bully for myself a week or two ago. I big has my pin above my bridge with my cg kicked 2 inches out with a small weight hole on my pap.
on fresh this ball is fantastic with my ball speed not over skidding and reading very smoothly. flare is about 4-5' hit is very good.
My bully tho is considerable stronger, possibley the strongest resin i have ever used. My pin is in my ring finger and my cg is about 1 inch left and above my thumb. I drilled a very deep thumb to greatly reduce the size of my weight hole. the reaction is much earlier and more hard arcing then my big bully which is more smooth. my bully probably flares 6 inches or more.
Big bully for control on fresh, bully for heavier and carrydown.

Timothy, those layouts are pretty different, so it's probably hard to compare the balls' relative performance based on these two samples. I'll have a chance to compare a 4 x 4 1/2 BB to a 4x4 (with x-hole) Bully later this week. That hopefully will be illuminating!
