I'd been complaining about fresh sparky conditions.

I read some reviews of Hammer's Arson Low Flare as a fresh shot killer but still for me if sparky on a fresh back my pearls and Hybrids explode right off those....Solids I say!

Let's see,  Low rg core, with very modest flare of .020 on the Arson pearl.  Hmm a core that usually has flip blocks and a higher rg and a higher diff but has the flip blocks taken off.

I said to myself, you know, I have a hot looking ball that has something like that going on.....Ah yes and in Solid with an older coverstock.  Ah ha!  Laying in the garage the Super Trooper with the old Rock On core with but with the flip blocks taken off ah....and with the smoothness of Solid.

Noted the drilling pin up a bit and to the side of the ring finger about 4 1/4 pin to pap.  (doesn't usually work for me but with such a low RG core...why not!).

Never had this ball come off the hand in the past well but I applied my Mo Pinel bevel techniques and gave it a whirl.  Oh my!  A move left and for the first time in a while I am playing almost straight up the 9 10 area.  Lots of early rev and then roll and squares up very solid on the pocket.  Oh yeah....weighthole slightly up and on the VAL.

My this roll is similar to my Well loved Sledge Hammer control drilled Sledghammer which has much more midlane, but this ball instead revs up straight down the boards and then rolls in to the pocket.

Much like I have tried to set up in some of my recent 2 inch pin to pap drillings this ball arcs and rolls solid right in to the pocket!  I can't even believe it but I must say while my Sledge creates more area due to it's extra diff when I am posting my finish and providing great leverage this ball supplies more easy length while still rolling!

I wouldn't be surprised if a competitor brings out a solid with this type of Idea.  Or maybe Columbia itself.  As a former devotee of the Panic (a pearl with a core with flip blocks off).  This might be even smoother but every bit as much of a hard hitter.

Tried my Motiv Ascent Solid and was surprised how much different it's breakpoint was with its higher RG and similar diff.  Snappier and less controllable.
